General objectives · Encourage new methodologies and forms of musical learning in formal education. · Generate a long-term stable project that enables the participants to develop their own learning rhythm. · Emphasise the value of process over results. · Develop autonomous learning and active participation. · Develop an awareness of acoustic ecology and respect for the sound environment. · Inquire the relational possibilities of music as a universal language. · Introduce a postcolonial and gender perspectives as transversal axes. · Make contemporary music culture accessible to the rural society. · Promote the use of new technologies for a better understanding of current music. · Promote equality (gender, race, and class) through collective music creation in socio-culturally diverse communities. · Create sound situations of collective participation to develop attitudes of collaboration, trust, respect, and empathy. · Create an agency in arts and technology by DIY (do it yourself) and DIWO (do it with others) philosophy as well as the use of free software.
Specific objectives · Expand the teaching resources of the Municipality Schools from Ricote Valley. · Introduce new pedagogies to teachers from the field of music and technology to amplify their teaching methods. · Establish a dialogue between musicians and other groups of diverse socio-cultural features. · Create spaces of encounter for the civil society aside the institutional framework. · Share specialised knowledge for professional artists and educators. · Stimulate the activity of new creators and the dissemination of their works.
