Treasurer (Dick) – Three months into the fiscal year and not much change from last year. Foundation should have a better September with income from the Safety Seminar. The Club won’t change much till later in the year. Pie Charts and summary will be in the Cloudbouncer. Secretary (Sue) – Two new mid-year memberships were received: Steven and Jeane Derebey; and Marcus and Emily Favero, both residing in Rio Rancho. question of who is able to fulfill a request, Commercial or Private pilot. Further discussion will take place in October.
Unfinished Business Insurance Renewal – Insurance being obtained through RPS. Kathy at RPS is working on getting a rider attached to cover the trailer and contents.
New Business Fiesta/AAAA Buttons - Jennifer provided a short history of the relationship between AAAA and Fiesta. In the early years AAAA played a major role in Fiesta but as the years have passed that has changed to an almost non-existent role. The cost to AIBF of providing breakfast to pilots has increased and for the 2019 Fiesta, buttons provided to AAAA have been limited to 125. Pilots receive buttons in their Pilot Packs. Dick made the following motion. The Board shall establish criteria based on dues paid members listed in the AAAA Roster and those whose information has been listed as private and not published to determine distribution of the limited buttons to members. Tom seconded. Result – Seven for, zero against, one abstention. Motion passed. At 6:42 Dick made a motion to adjourn, Katie seconded. Meeting adjourned.

PRESIDENTS REPORT AAAA
We are quickly approaching the most photographed event in the world, Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. As with any rally or event, please remember that when you wear your balloon gear, you are representing yourself, your balloon (pilot or crew,) the rally/event, and our sport in general. It doesn't matter if it's a rally/event shirt, crew shirt or just a fun balloon shirt. Please be respectful and responsible.
The September Event went off without a hitch, other than winds being light and variable so only a couple of pilots made it to the target. Top Gun will be holding a Precision Flying Class presented by Bubba Cliver.

Albuquerque Aerostat Ascension Association AAAA Education Foundation Treasurer’s Report
COMMENTS: Things are still pretty slow in both entities. Fiesta Safety Registrations are 32 as I write this, which is half what it was last year at this time. Not much else going on, but numbers are fairly close to last year at this time . CASH: Cash on hand at the end of August in the Education Foundation was $39,182, compared to $48,440 for the same period last year, and The AAAA Club cash was $16,631, compared to $16,139 for the same period last year. INCOME STATEMENT: At the end of August we were showing an excess of disbursements over revenue of $4,676 in the Education Foundation compared to $3,147 for the same period last year. Excess disbursements over revenue in the AAAA Club were $1,472 compared to $1,460 for the same period last year. Closing Comments: You will find in this issue of the CloudBouncer a one page summary of both the Education Foundation and the AAAA Club Statements of Receipts and Disbursements with Budget Comparison along with illustrative Pie Charts, which I hope you will take the time to review. I welcome any questions, comments, or thoughts for improvement. Dick Rice Treasurer Treasurer@hotairballooning.org
