It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Nope, not even Christmas yet. It’s Fiesta time! The biggest reunion of the balloon family anywhere. The chance to have lots of beautiful safe flights, see lots of old friends, and meet lots of new friends from across the nation and around the world. In this spirit, please join us to welcome our friends from the Annonay Berceau de l'Aérostation (ABA) on October 5 at 11:00 on launch site G10. We will share with them how we tailgate Albuquerque style and build new friendships as we continue to grow our partnership with this great balloon club from Annonay, the birthplace of hot air ballooning.

Pilots, take care of your crews! Fiesta is tons of fun but is also nine full days of crazy early mornings for all of us. Don’t forget that one of the many benefits of AAAA membership is access to the Fiesta Pilot Tent. Show your AAAA member card at the AAAA table during pilot registration or on the first Saturday of Fiesta and you will get a button to come to the pilot tent all week for breakfast, coffee, and warming up on the chilly Fiesta mornings. This is a great way to take care of your crew so they are warm and fed and ready to go. I wish everyone nine amazing days of safe flights, catching up with friends old and new, and making memories for you, your crew, and all of the spectators that will be out to see our beautiful balloons. I’ll see you on the launch field. Safe landings! Craig
