Pafos and its surrounding areas are listed World Heritage sites for good reason; The legend of Aphrodite, goddess of love, resonates through the area, this being her mythical birthplace, where she emerged from the sea at nearby Petra tou Romiou. To the west there is the untouched Akamas Peninsula, where lush green valleys roll into the crystal Mediterranean and sea turtles arrive in their thousands to lay their eggs on the golden beaches of Lara. Ancient historical sites are plentiful offering a lifetime of exploration while the region has recently become a haven for golfers thanks to the numerous world standard courses. Pafos International Airport is ten minutes away making visiting easy, while
