The Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art boasts more than 400 diverse works of art produced by Roswell’s Artist-in-Residence program. The 22,000-squarefoot museum opened in 1994 when founder Donald B. Anderson decided to share his private collection with the public. Throughout the year, the museum hosts events such as concerts, dinners and conversations with artists.

Icon Cinema is located in the south part of town, while Allen Galaxy 8 is located on the north end of town. Icon offers all-youcan-eat popcorn and drinks, while Galaxy 8 offers comfortable reclining chairs. Pair-A-Dice Game Shack offers residents and visitors the opportunity to play shelves of free board games for anyone to play and hosts different game nights every week. Bitter Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is located in two separate sections in central Chaves County and is a few miles northeast of the city. The refuge was established in 1937 to provide a habitat for migratory birds such as
