Brian Park’s primary inspiration for starting his own business was freedom and creative autonomy in his work. And his background in pre-med from Georgetown made Brian an expert on healthcare. But instead of donning scrubs, Brian went for socks—using his knowledge of blood flow and anatomy to

laces, socks, etc.) to set themselves apart from what they called a “monochromatic setting.” This is how Crayon was born. But a fashion forward brand needs a fashion forward logo. So they turned to 99designs to create the elegant brand statement they needed. Since their contest, Crayon has launched online (and in selected retail stores) with their line of vibrant shoe laces that add elegance and color to men’s dress shoes. And Marc and Bennett hope to soon expand their line socks and ties too. Looking fresh, you guys!

Unsure at first on how to get started, Brian learned of 99designs through the Tim Ferriss podcast and decided to give it a shot. The result was a stellar logo that helped get Nabee off the ground. “Once we had a logo, it felt like we were a real company. This motivated and pushed us forward.” Today Nabee is a full fledged online business making feet happy for nurses and athletes everywhere.
