Description Designed by William George Murray (1822 -1871), one of the leading Architects in Ireland in the 19th Century. In his role as Architect to the Provincial Bank of Ireland, 97 South Mall was constructed as an imposing Banking Hall in an Italianate style with the two main frontages being finished in ornate dressed stone. The Interior Gallery/Banking Hall complete with coved ceiling and central Lantern has been retained as has much of the original fabric of the building. The building was opened as a bank in 1865. This is a classic 19th century architectural gem which was, until recently, Thomas Crosbie Holdings Company Headquarters.
