TEXAS JUNIOR HIGH RODEO ASSOCIATION NEWS DUGAN CHANDLER TJHRA Student Secretary Greetings, I appreciate the opportunity I had to serve as TJHRA secretary this year. I was glad that I was able to learn more about this awesome organization. TJHRA has allowed me to meet new friends, travel to some great places and represent TEXAS well. I would like to thank the TJHRA Board for allowing us to have such a wonder year. Have a great summer and blessings down the road!! Dugan Chandler

TAYLOR MOBBS TJHRA Princess As my year as Miss. TJHRA comes to an end, I have often wondered how I would describe the last 12 months of my life. Fun… Exciting… Challenging… These are all great words but the words that sum my year up would have to be… life changing. When the crown was placed upon my head last year, it fulfilled a lifelong dream that I have had since I was 5 years old. This title has shown me the importance of being a good leader, being a good speaker and being a positive voice for the sport of rodeo and the contestants. This title has changed my life by giving me great opportunities to meet and work with many terrific people such as Mr. Tony Lacina, Mrs. Anne Dollery, Mr. John Bland, Ms. Dawn Brenner, Sierra, Paisley and Dugan. I want to thank each of these people for their support and for believing in me. I also want to thank Texas High School Rodeo, Texas Junior High Rodeo, Maci and Holly for the trips to Dallas and Fort Worth. I enjoyed meeting many of our great sponsors and especially holding the same hat that was given to President Donald

Trump by the Resistol hat company. This past year I have had the great privilege to meet and to gain valuable advice from some of the top rodeo athletes such as Trevor Brazile, Matt Reeves and Amberley Snyder. One common thread among them all was to always make wise choices and to always be the best competitor and person you can be in and out of the arena. Never take for granted your talent. They said to mix hard work with talent every day and to never give up no matter what life might throw your way. Last but not least, I would like to thank God for giving me this special opportunity to serve Him as Miss Texas Junior High Rodeo Princess. I pray that my light has shown brightly for Him. As my time as the Princess has come to a close, I do not leave you with a farewell or a good bye, but by simply signing off, my mission here is complete. May God bless you. Taylor Mobbs
