ONE WORLD TWO COLORS 01

INTRODUCTION “One World Two Colors”, when people see the black cover in front of them, they may think that the whole book is black, but in fact it is a colorful world. I am a graphic designer from China, my name is Zirui Shao. I love the design of books, posters, web pages, etc. It is very interesting to combine different colors and layouts because design is like life, not just black and white, not just colors, it is more fun to break the rules.

The project aims to redesign Disney's annual report. I found the 2018 annual report on the company's official website as the main content, mainly using Disney-style design to complete this project. Disney is a childhood memory for many people, and Disney can bring joy to people. So in this project I used color to add a lively feel, and then added Disney photos in each chapter section to emphasize the theme. A Disney map is added before each chapter, and when you read the content of a chapter, the map will advance one step, which is also for added interest.

The art exhibition with the theme “MAY YOU LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES” will no doubt include artwork that reflects the unstable aspects of today's existence. Since this art exhibition involves multifaceted artworks, and 79 designers from different regions, I will collage TOGETHER different artworks to DEMONSTRATE TO the viewer that this is not a Designer art exhibition. The main color tone adopts the color of the organizer's logo and unifies the layout and color tone to the website, app, brochure, postcard, poster, signage and work card to achieve a visual unity effect.

This series of LAMY is mainly based on color, so I chose the colors that match this series as the main color as the main visual effect, and put them on posters, brochures and websites, in order to let customers see the promotion. The way to understand the characteristics of the product. For the font I chose Handwriting Art because people who use pens practice writing, so Handwriting is the best choice. The color, layout and content are mainly based on the pictures of the pen itself, and a small amount of text introduction is used as a reference because a large amount of text will reduce customers' interest in reading.

The main content of Karl Blossfeldt's photo book is some photos of plants with dark tones, and the author expresses them in a darker way of shooting. When I started typography, I found that there are many plants of different species, but they have similar shapes, so I will first consider grouping them together when typography, so that it is visually consistent . I chose black and white as the main color to match the color of the photo. If you use similar colors, it may not particularly highlight the photo as the subject. If you use a lot of color, it will also steal the reader's attention, so I chose black and white.

I chose to work on helping refugee children with my project. When I searched the website for stories, interviews and photos of refugee children, my heart was broken. Because of the naive, distressed and innocent expressions of children I chose black and white photos as the main color to express the dark side of the world. I chose rose red as the second main color, hoping to grab people's attention and MAKE THEM AWARE OF THIS GROUP. In the end, I chose the word “hope” as the logo, and its color was yellow. The color and the logo have the same meaning as hope, sunshine, and happiness.

THANK YOU Thanks to my parents who are willing to help me realize my dream, and thanks to my teachers and classmates for their knowledge and help to make me who I am today. As a designer, I will study harder and learn more professional knowledge, and use my ability to design and create more interesting and meaningful design works. The road ahead may be full of challenges, but I will still move forward with determination.
