LITTLEMORE PILGRIMAGE: 25 of us headed towards Oxford last Saturday to visit the village of Littlemore where the great John Henry Newman was received into the Church by Blessed Dominic CP. It was a most memorable day: we saw Newman’s library, the writing desk at which he used to stand composing some of his great sermons; there were many photographs from the different periods of his long life. But the highlight was to be able to celebrate Mass in the very room where he was received into the Church on October 9th 1845.
