‘As it is done on earth, so it is in heaven’ General Overseer of the Rock of Salvation Ministries, Iju, Lagos, stresses that there is nexus between earthly activities and heavenly results, calling all to righteousness. Excerpts:

For some months now, I have been talking to my children about righteousness, which without, no man can see God, and which some ministers don’t always see as important. Someone once asked, “What is the benefit of going to church? Men and women now engage themselves in worldly meetings or clubs because of when they die. The club, children, money, good health, mansion, expensive cars or wealth cannot guarantee your position in heaven, but will all perish here on earth (they are only temporal). Let’s forget our earthly gain and focus on heaven’s requirement. Contraband: In a simple explanation, it’s what a country rejects to be brought into it. Let’s take our country Nigeria for example; there are things our government will not allow across our borders, in which if when we go against it, it becomes a punishable offence. Sometimes people even die in the process of smuggling. I want you to know, that as it is done here on earth, so it is in heaven. Matt 6:10 says, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Anything done here on earth is a reflection of what is done in heaven, that’s why the Bible tells us to obey the authority, whether good or bad, because whether you like it or not, they are appointed by God. Romans 13:1 and 3 state, “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God, the power that be, are ordained of God. For rulers are not terrors to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shall have praise of the same. “When a law is made in a country, sometimes people grumble, saying the government is wicked by not allowing business to flow, but forgetting it is for their own good because there are type of business that can destroy you. One time (a long time age) I

went to a street in Ikeja, Lagos; what I saw shocked me. People were lying down in the gutter, some on the street naked, some were abnormal, so if a government should say, ‘we don’t want the importation of drugs’, who’s to gain? It’s like God telling you don’t steal, don’t commit adultery, to whose gain is it? Is it God or you? If you are caught they may kill you, you commit adultery, you get infected with a deadly disease and you die leaving your family to suffer, how does it affect God? The Bible says, “the devil came to steal, to kill and to destroy,” whatsoever that comes from the devil is destruction, but God came to destroy the work of the devil and give you freedom. Rev 12:10 says, and I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our God and power of his Christ, for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before God day and night.” The devil will only deceive you to sin and at the same time accuse you before God of your unfaithfulness, as he accused Joshua in Zechariah 3:1. you have a brother that always comes up with an ideal of something, and each time, he reports you to your father when the deal gets sour, what will be your reaction towards that brother? You will be very careful of him and even try to avoid him, then why won’t you avoid the devil, see the devil as that wicked friend or brother. Know that every sin you commit is sewed up in a bag, and it’s not possible for you to carry anything in your hand into heaven (Job 14:17). You must let go now for the Bible says, “there is no repentance in the grave”, When someone dies, and they say, “may his soul rest in peace” ‘can never give peace’ because those things in your hands, bitterness, anger, malice, idolatry, selfishness, covetousness and so on, can only take you to hell. As my teaching on righteousness still goes on, a lady just like you heard and repented, she brought to me all the idols and abominations in her hands (Jewellery worth millions of naira, wigs trousers to be destroyed, she let go and gave her life to Christ as her Lord and Saviour, now she is in the evangelical team, I tell you “she has acquired her ticket to heaven if she remains in faith”, and God says, “all other things will be added unto you”, those benefits you seek from men, are all in God’s hand, and he says he will give it to

you, only if you seek him first. In the bible study, someone asked a question, he said “why is it that some men of God ministers with their head covered, is it not a sin?” I answered and said to him, “it’s not just an ordinary cap, it is their crown (earthly crown) because whenever you see them you know who they are through the crown on their head and worship them, I told them a story of a great and powerful man, he controlled almost half of the world, he was respected and worshipped as a god, but when the spirit of God came upon him and showed him the truth, he forsook his position, took off the crown of man off his head and humbled himself as a common man to receive the crown of glory which is what we should all be striving for (2 Tim. 4:7-8). Matt 13 :15 &17 states for this people heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest at anytime they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their hearts, and should be converted, and I should heal them. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them, and to hear those things ye hear, and have not heard them. It is not that these people do not know the truth, but the devil has blinded them, so that they may look but not see they read, but can’t understand, 1 Corinthians 11:14 says. Every man praying and prophesying having his head covered dishonored his head. Vs 14 say doth not even nature itself teach you, that if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him? You will even see a man plaiting his hair with an extension, when the Bible says it is a shame unto him to have long hair, their heart is hardened not to hear the word and do them, so that they may be condemned on the last day. 1Timothly 1:9(KJV) states “In like manner also, those women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with broided hair, or gold or pearls, or costly array”. Dress in away that will bring glory to God. If checked today, 96% of our women goes with extension, they make themselves artificial, no one is proud anymore of how he or she was created by God, we must add just a little touch for beauty, I’m not saying you should go dirty and smelly, Eccl. 9:8 says. Let thy garments be always white, and let

thy head lack no ointment. Make yourself clean, dress decently, keep your hair clean, the bible says in 1 Cor. 11:15 that long hair is the glory of a woman, not of God, so don’t go to the house of the Lord with your hair uncovered, cleanliness is next to Godliness, and don’t engage yourself in buying things that are unnecessarily expensive, the bible is against it, that money can be used in bettering the lives of one or two persons, God says “Love your neighbor as yourself, your neighbour is suffering and you are wastespending. I know it’s your money which you suffered to get, and you should enjoy it, but remember there is more blessing in giving. We should strive for things that will give our soul peace on the last day, not things that will only give us a minute pleasure. Mark 8:36-37 states. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul. Or what shall a man give in exchange for his own soul? What shall you give in exchange for your soul? The Bible says “only your good works shall follow you”. My fellow Christians, suffer not the devil to speak to you, he has only come to steal your blessings, kill your destiny, and destroy your soul, and the devil has nothing good to offer you. Hear the word of God and have a change of mind, God says if you are ashamed of him and his word, he shall also be ashamed of you (Mark 8:38) but if you that are called by His name (Christian) shall humble yourselves and turn away from your unrighteous and wicked ways, He is faithful and just to forgive you, and will remember your sins and iniquities no more. Do not think of what people will say or do to you, your friends and family may even turn their backs on you for accepting Jesus Christ and doing away with all the abominable things in your possession. Jesus Christ says “who is my father, mother, and friends? Only those that hear my word and do them. 1st cor. 6vs14 says: Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbeliever, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? When you turn to God, the light of God shines through you, for that they cannot stand because they are darkness. 1 Cor. 7:15a states. But if the unbelieving depart let him depart. If any depart let him or her go, for with God you are majority. My fellow Christians, nothing abominable can be attached to heaven, no slim way in, but the straight gate. Please, look into your lives and have a change of mind. Whether you are righteous of wicked, it profits God nothing, but can only affect your fellow human (Job 35:7-8) why you should be good is because what you sow is what you reap.
