GIVE TO THE TROOPS

SEPT 15 FRG MEETING

AUGUST MEETING RECAP

REPAIR DEVILS

Give to the Troops is a non-profit organization in Greenville, NC. Since December 2002, they have supported approximately ONE MILLION deployed U.S. troops with care packages and letters from all

over the nation. They have sent more than 117,000 enormous boxes (approximately 70 pounds each) and more than 40 million letters and cards from caring citizens. Barbara Whitehead runs the NC branch of G2TT and has asked for our support.   Her house was severely damaged during Hurricane Irene and she has been so focused on hurricane recovery at her home, that she is behind and overwhelmed at the center. Saturday, 17 September she has asked for volunteers to work at the center between 9:00 a.m. and noon. If you would like to participate, please contact Lydia Short at 207-783-4006 for details. Thank you for considering this request, Barbara's efforts have touched numerous Soldiers and Families within our Battalion.
