On the north and south side of the street a few public buildings were constructed, and their excavation is now in progress. At the western edge of the street lay a hippodrome which has not yet been excavated. To its east, there was the main gate of Gadara. The city is in the process of a comprehensive excavation, and only a small part of it has so far been exposed.
