Open to Soldiers, Family members and caregivers. A subject matter expert from Madigan will talk about various types of cancer, early detection through self-exam, treatments, coping and answer your questions. A diagnosis of cancer is life transforming. It can make you feel frightened and isolated. There are a lot of support group out there, but they are normally specific on certain types of cancer. Our support group is open to all types with the goal of providing knowledge, understanding, and resources. If you want to remain anonymous, feel free to send a representative. A PTSD service dog attends a 6-week basic obedience course with their handler. Once fully trained, the dog offers assistance to those with emotional overload, anxiety, and with trouble navigating new environments.
