Career Plan (1) Personal Marketing Fees When you market our wine and wine accessories, you will earn Personal Marketing Fees on your Personal Volume less Personal Purchases, when you are active. As a new Wine Guide you are active automatically during the commission period of your enrollment month and for the next two consecutive monthly commission periods. In future months, you will be active when you have paid a $15.95 monthly website fee. Personal Volume (PV) includes all product orders submitted with your Wine Guide ID from home tastings, individual customer orders, wine club orders, and all personal orders. Excluded from your PV are supplies, samples, host free credit purchases, host discounted purchases, host specials, shipping, handling and taxes. PV is also reduced by product returns. Personal Purchases (PP) includes all product orders placed by you at the Wine Guide price (retail less a 15% discount). Three times monthly, you can be paid Personal Marketing Fees of 15% on orders referencing your Wine Guide ID that are placed at retail prices. (2) Personal Bonuses Each month, when you are active and have $400 or more in Personal Volume, in addition to your Personal Marketing Fees, you will receive a Personal Bonus on all of your PV. Career Plan (3) Management Bonuses Management Bonuses reward Wine Guides for building teams. When you are active and have $250 in Personal Volume (PV) in a commission period or $500 in Personal Volume over a rolling two-month period (PV2), you are “qualified” which means you are eligible to earn compensation upon the volume of other Wine Guides. Bonus Volume is the basis upon which bonuses are earned on the volume of other Wine Guides. Bonus Volume is calculated at 80% of the retail price. Your successline consists of all of the Wine Guides you have personally enrolled, and all those they have enrolled, etc. without limit to depth. A level is a positional relationship between Wine Guides based on enrollment. If A enrolls B who enrolls C, then B is on A’s first level and C is on A’s second level and B’s first level. As a qualified Wine Guide you can earn Management Bonuses on the Bonus Volume of up to three levels of your successline Wine Guides (L1, L2 and L3). For Management Bonuses, the percentages and the number of levels are each determined based on the paid-as title of the Wine Guide as specified in the table below.

Career Plan (4) Fast Start Bonuses New Wine Guides: Traveling Vineyard offers a dynamic exciting rewards program for new Wine Guides. For details, please refer to the Fast Start Program you are eligible for based on your enrollment date. At Traveling Vineyard, good news travels fast! We’ll notify you when you achieve your rewards. Sponsors of New Wine Guides: Fast Start Bonuses are designed to reward sponsors for the extra efforts they put forth to enroll and train new Wine Guides. On orders placed within the first 60 days of a new consultant’s enrollment date, you can earn Fast Start Bonuses on the Bonus Volume of up to two levels of your successline Wine Guides (FS1 and FS2) when you are qualified and active. Fast Start Bonuses are paid in addition to Management Bonuses. FS2 Level Two Bonuses are paid only when Fast Start Level One Bonuses are earned on the same order.

Career Plan (5) Early Promotion Bonuses When you promote to the rank of Three Star Leader and Four Star Leader during your first four commission periods (the month of your enrollment is the first commission period), you will receive Early Promotion Bonuses (EP0). If in the same month you promote from a title below Three Star Leader to a title of Four Star Leader or above in the same month, you will earn both Early Promotion Bonuses. When your personally enrolled Wine Guides promote to these ranks during their first four commission periods, you will also earn Early Promotion Bonuses (EP1) when you are active and paid at their rank or higher in the month of their promotion.

(6) Team Leader Promotion Bonuses When you promote to the rank of Team Leader, you will earn a Team Leader Promotion Bonus (TLP0). When a Wine Guide first promotes above the title of Four Star Leader, when you are active and you are the first upline Wine Guides with a paid-as title of Team Leader or above, you will earn a Team Leader Promotion Bonus (TLP1).

Career Plan (8) Leadership Bonuses Personal Bonus Volume is equal to 80% of your Personal Volume. Leadership Bonus Volume is the sum of all of the Personal Bonus Volume of all the Wine Guides in the successline of a Wine Guide down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above and their successlines. Personal Bonus Volume is not included in Leadership Bonus Volume. As an active and qualified Wine Guide who is paid at the rank of Team Leader or above, you will earn a Leadership Bonus which is paid on your Leadership Bonus Volume. Leadership Bonuses are paid in addition to Management Bonuses. When you are paid-as a Team Leader or above, upon the Bonus Volume of Wine Guides on the first three levels of your successline who are part of your team, you will earn Management Bonuses and Leadership Bonuses.

(9) Generation Overrides Your team includes yourself plus all of the Wine Guides in your successline, down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above. A Generation is a group of Wine Guides that begins with a Wine Guide with a title of Team Leader or above and includes all of the Wine Guides in her successline, down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader and above and their successlines. Team Volume is the sum of your Personal Volume and all of the Personal Volume of each of the Wine Guides in your successline, down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above and their successlines. Personal Volume is included in Team Volume.

Career Plan Team Bonus Volume is the sum of your Personal Bonus Volume and all of the Personal Bonus Volume of each of the Wine Guides in your successline, down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above and their successlines. When you are active and paid at the rank of Director or above, you will earn Generation Overrides on the Team Bonus Volume of your successline with a rank of Team Leader or above. The depth of generation overrides varies based upon your paid-as title.

Generation Overrides are paid in addition to Management Bonuses. When you are paid-as a Director or above and have Wine Guides in your first three levels of your successline who are paid as a Team Leader or above, you can earn Generation Overrides on their Personal Bonus Volumes, while also earning Management Bonuses. Leadership Bonuses are paid on the volume of Wine Guides on the Team of a Team Leader or above. Generation overrides are paid on the volume of Wine Guides on the teams of other Team Leaders or above in your successline.

Career Plan (10) Elite Leader Bonus Pool A leg begins with a personally enrolled Wine Guide and includes that Wine Guide’s successline. A qualified leg contains at least one Wine Guide who is qualified. A qualified XXXX leg contains at least one Wine Guide who is paid at the rank of XXXX or higher. For example, a qualified Director Leg contains at least one Wine Guide who is paid at the rank of Director or above this month. As an active and qualified Wine Guide who is paid at the rank of Ruby Director or above, you are eligible to earn shares in the Director Leg Pool. This pool will contain funds to be determined at the discretion of Traveling Vineyard. Your paid-as title for the month will determine your base number of shares. You will earn additional shares based on your counts of qualif ied legs. Qualification requirements to earn shares in the bonus pool for any given month are: 1) You must have personally sponsored at least one new team member with $250 in personal volume in the most recent 90 days. 2) You must have 1 new qualified team leader leg in the most recent 365 days. The total amount in the pool will be divided by the number of shares issued to calculate the value of each share. Each Wine Guide with shares will be paid the value of them. Pool bonuses will be paid separately no later than the 20th of the following month.

About Team Volume In the month when a Wine Guide promotes above the rank of Four Star Leader for the first time, her Team Volume is included in the Team Volume of her upline Wine Guides up to and including the first Wine Guide with a title of Team Leader or above. In the month following promotion to Team Leader, the Team Volume requirement for promotion and title maintenance for the upline Wine Guides up to and including the first Wine Guide with a title of Team Leader or above shall be reduced by 50%. If a Wine Guide has two downline Wine Guides in different legs promote to Team Leader in the same month, in the next month her Team Volume requirement for title promotion and title maintenance shall be reduced by 100%.

About Legs Unlike other compensation plans that count personally enrolled Wine Guides, our compensation plan counts qualified legs. The highest qualified title in a leg determines the type of leg it is. For example, if there is a qualified Three Star Leader in a leg and there is a qualified One Star Leader below her, the leg counts as a “Qualified Three Star Leader Leg” not both a “Qualified Three Star Leader Leg and a “Qualified One Star Leader Leg.”

Career Plan In the example below, the Team Leader has one Three Star Leader Leg, not two.

Legs are built, not inherited. If a Wine Guide with two legs deactivates, the upline Wine Guide will not gain a new leg. Similarly, levels are fixed. They are based on the enrollment structure and the level relationships do not change when a Wine Guide is inactive or deactivates.

Title Maintenance To be paid at the level of one’s title, Wine Guides are active and requalify for their titles monthly. If a Wine Guide does not meet the requirements for his or her title during a commission period, the Wine Guide will be paid at the highest title for which he or she meets the maintenance requirements.

Career Plan Title Adjustments If a Wine Guide fails to be paid at one’s title level for 12 consecutive months, the consultant’s title will be lowered to that of the highest title for which the Wine Guide qualified during the 12-month period. The new title is effective the first day of the 13th commission period.

Deactivation Wine Guides who pay the $15.95 monthly website fee are “active.” Wine Guides who have been inactive for 2 consecutive months (having not paid the $15.95 monthly website fee) shall be deactivated.

Reactivation Wine Guides who wish to rejoin the company within 90 days of their deactivation may rejoin as a Wine Guide by paying a $25 reactivation fee. Upon reactivation, a consultant’s downline (Wine Guides and customers) is not restored. All reactivated Wine Guides will resume their career with the beginning title of Wine Guide and a new Wine Guide ID. Wine Guides whose deactivation date is more than 90 days old must complete a new Wine Guide Application and Agreement and purchase a new Success Kit.

Career Plan Definitions Active Wine Guides are “active” during their month of enrollment and for the next two consecutive months. Beginning with one’s third full month as a Wine Guide, a Wine Guide is active when he or she has paid the monthly $15.95 website fee. Bonus Volume (BV) Bonus volume is the basis for payment of bonuses. It is 80% of Retail Volume. Enrolling Sponsor Enrolling sponsor is the term given to a Wine Guide who introduces the opportunity to a new potential Wine Guide. The enrolling Team Builder is identified as the sponsor on the application of the new Wine Guide The new Wine Guide is personally enrolled by her enrolling sponsor. Generation A generation includes a Wine Guide with a title of Team Leader or above and all of her Success Line Wine Guides, excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above and their Success Lines. Heritage Line Heritage Line is a term used to describe as a group the Wine Guide her sponsor, and all of the sponsors upline until reaching the top of the genealogy, the Company. Inactive The term used to describe Wine Guides who are not active. Leadership Bonus Volume (LV) Leadership Bonus Volume is the sum of all of the Personal Bonus Volume of the Wine Guides in the Success Line of the Wine Guide down to but excluding Wine Guides with a title of Team Leader or above and their Success Lines. One’s Personal Bonus Volume is not included in his or her Leadership Volume. Leg A leg begins with a personally enrolled Wine Guide and includes all of his or her Success Line Wine Guides. Paid-As Title While a Wine Guide may have previously earned a higher title, his or her paid-as title is the highest title for which a Wine Guide is qualified in a commission period. The paid-as title may be the same as or lower than the consultant’s actual title. All Wine Guides are paid based on their paid-as titles. Personal Bonus Personal Bonus is a bonus reserved for Wine Guides with at least $400 in Personal Volume within a monthly commission period. Personally Enrolled The sponsor who is identified on the application of a new Wine Guide personally enrolls the new prospective Wine Guide.
