Join us for the fourth annual Highland Village Art Festival where we’ll have displays from over 30 outstanding gallery quality artists, artist demonstrations, live music and entertainment, and interactive children’s art activities. The Highland Village Art Festival will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Shops of Highland Village. Parking and admission are free. *The Highland Village Art Festival is a joint venture between the Highland Village Parks and Recreation Department and The Shops at Highland Village.

Celebrate Highland Village - Saturday, June 2 Celebrate the beginning of summer with Celebrate Highland Village on Saturday, June 2 at Unity Park. The morning events include a 1k/5k walk/run, a family fish out, and our Arbor Day Proclamation along with the giving away of Texas Native Redbud trees. Lunch & Learn Trinity Wellness Center Since 1996, Trinity Wellness Center has been delivering quality chiropractic care to the Highland Village area. They believe in teaching patients of all ages how to live pain-free, healthy, joyful lives through the use of proper nutrition, detoxification, good ergonomics, environmental awareness, correct posture, stretching and strengthening exercises, and regular chiropractic care. We would like to invite you to the Widow and Widowers group that meets for breakfast every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. and for dinner on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Saturday morning breakfast is at the Korner Cafe located at 921 W. Main St., Lewisville, TX 75067. The fourth Tuesday dinner is located at Landmark Grill locted at 1297 Justin Rd., #310, Lewisville, TX 75077. We gather about 6:00 p.m. and go through the line to buy dinner, and then meet in the back section. Alzheimer’s Support Group

Do you have a loved one struggling with dementia or Alzheimer’s? Often times those who love and care for the ill suffer as much or more and need a comforting outlet. Autumn Leaves of Flower Mound offers a safe and understanding environment for just that. The group meets the fourth Tuesday of each month from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at Autumn Leaves in Flower Mound located at 3201 Karnes Rd. Come witness the largest Civil War Museum west of the Mississippi River! The Texas Civil War Museum, which opened in 2006, boasts over 15,000 square feet of exhibits. The museum consists of three separate galleries that display a Civil War collection, Victorian dress collection and United Daughters of the Confederacy Texas Confederate collection. Along with the exhibits, the Texas Civil War Museum includes a 75 seat movie theatre which hosts the commissioned movie, “Our Homes Our rights” – Texas in the Civil War. Before heading home, be sure to stop by and pick up a souvenir at the Magnolia Mercantile which showcases specialty gift items related to the Civil War and Victorian Era.
