WHAT IS A PULLEY?

It is a simple machine, it is formed by a mobile wheel around an axis, which presents a channel in its circumference. Through that throat it goes through a rope, at the ends of which it operates resistance and power.

TYPE OF PULLEYS

Simple pulley is an effort that is equal to the weight that is lifted, although the effort is facilitated by the direction in which it is made F=R Examples of these pulleys are: Bodybuilding equipment, well pulleys etc.

2.- Mobile pulley: it is formed by two pulleys, one fixed and the other mobile. In this case the effort is half since the load path is half that of the force. F=R/2

Examples of pulleys are: Load lifting systems

3.- Hoists: in them it is possible to reduce a lot of effort, although the load moves very slowly according to its disposition we find two different types: â—? a) There is a fixed and other mobile F = R / 2N â—? b) Half of fixed pulleys and half movable pulleys F=R/2*N In both cases the N is the number of mobile pulleys. Examples of this type can be found in elevators, hoists, cranes.
