What Are Entrepreneur Qualities? While you will discover a number of qualities that make up an entrepreneur, there are a few that are so exclusive that you actually can't be one without them. The one that tends to become the most important is the ability to stay focused on the prize, or the end game. This plays into a lot of other facets of what an entrepreneur is, that without it nothing else seems to make sense. By having the ability to keep that degree of laser like focus an entrepreneur can look past the challenges that face them each day and remember why they got started in the business in the first place. Without that they'd be like a lot of other business owners who are ready to throw in the towel when things get tough. So to clarify one thing. A small business owner and an entrepreneur are not automatically the same thing. There are lots of business owners who are not entrepreneurs. They got into business because they couldn't find a job, or they saw it as an alternative investment to something else like stocks or real estate. An entrepreneur, however is in business to win, plain and simple. They need the brass ring and the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As apposed to the person who needs to make a living, who would bolt in a minute if a good job came along. Entrepreneurs Value Education Another impact that the "unwavering focus on a goal" has on entrepreneurs, is their eagerness to master whatever they have to. Among the understated entrepreneur qualities is the commitment to learning. People see entrepreneurs as gunslingers, riding off in to the west taking wild chances and fighting in the street or wherever they need to so that they can win the day. The truth is that entrepreneurs are very calculated in most of their moves. They have invested the effort and time to learn and understand the needs of their market. They've also worked hard to gain the required business knowledge and acumen to drive a business. Last but not least, they generally possess a very keen understanding of the competition and know very well what it'll take to beat them in their common market. To this end, entrepreneurs will even bring in expertise where they don't have it. Their pride is in reaching their goal and if they need help and expertise to get them their, they're going to take it. Not Sweating The Little Things- One Of The Best Entrepreneur Qualities Because they're educated on business, the market and their competition, entrepreneurs have a greater ability to understand how to achieve their goal. They also know they can and will attain

their goal. This is why they don't let the every day distractions get in their way. One of the biggest challenges with any business is that it never goes as intended. That is true for all business's. The fact is that there are always surprises, no matter how organized you are. The ability to roll with these issues is greatly impacted by their capacity to remain focused on the big picture. Get lost in the late delivery, or the employee that quit, or the computer crash and you'll rapidly be out of business. Don't get me wrong, entrepreneurs get frustrated too, but they do not let it hold them back. That's why I feel that this capacity to keep focused on the big picture is really among the most important entrepreneur qualities.
