One on one instruction. Ideal for the participant who is uncomfortable in the water, or the child who wants to improve specific skills or strokes. Private lessons are not recommended for children 5 yrs and younger

FAMILY SWIM LESSONS

This program is a great opportunity for the entire family to participate in the learn to swim program. Family lessons are a less structured approach where the instructor may teach multiple levels. This program is most effective if the participants are within 2 swim levels of each other. Larger gaps between participant levels can still be accommodated, however since the levels will have very different requirements, all skill requirements may not be met in one session. Safety is our main concern. Participants not under the direct supervision of the instructor cannot be in the pool, unless there is also a lifeguard/deck supervisor on duty. Participation is limited to immediate family members. Monday to Friday

A structured work-out class to help you get your Health on the right Track! Work out in a group setting where you will be led & monitored by qualified Kinesiologist Jaye Kendrick who has over 10 years’ experience working with cardiac and stroke patients in a physiotherapy setting. • Regular exercise is one of the best preventative measures against heart disease, cancer, alzheimers, arthritis, diabetes, high-cholesterol, hypertension and stroke. • Participants have reported improvements including reduction in weight & in waist circumference, increase in muscle mass and strength, improvements in flexibility, reduction in medication needed, and improvements to blood sugar levels, cholesterol levels and their overall well-being. • A group setting that offers camaraderie, support, structure & accountability. • Record and track your progress in your personal exercise log book provided. • Blood pressure and heart rate stats will be taken pre and post exercise. Heart rates are monitored during exercise to ensure that you are working out within your best range, and weekly weigh-ins will chart your success. • Sessions include a warm-up, resistance training using your own body weight and thera-bands, balance postures, track or treadmill walking (30-40 minutes) plus cardio equipment.
