Dornan has been M&E Contractor of Choice in over â‚Ź160M/ÂŁ135M Datacentre construction in Ireland, UK, and Europe. Dornan has increased its business in the Datacentre Sector after successfully securing a major 55 MVA datacentre project in Europe. We have been responsible for complex installations such as    !"#$%   %     equipment, pressurisation etc.

                    Dornan, using the latest software, produced detailed 3D CAD models to coordinate all primary services. The detail engineering and high standard models produced by Dornan were used to form the BIM plan for the project and became major tools for the project which was extended to include the architectural & structural elements.

Digiplex Datacentre in Stockholm, Dornan completed enabling work in October 2013. 50 MVA Datacentre, main land Europe which was completed in record time.

Our M&E installations have optimised datacentre capabilities with installation of utility service planning; distribution, switching and bypass from power sources, UPS systems, LV and MV systems.

8 MVA Datacentre, successfully completed for South County Dublin. Dornan was the main M&E contractor on this record breaking Data Centre. 12 MVA Datacentre completed for Mace Group in Newbury for Nationwide UK where Dornan was the M&E contractor.

Advances in access security lead Dornan to install some of the most sophisticated and advanced technologies to date, from Smart Cards and IP cameras, to biometric readers and laser screens.

Ireland One of Dornan’s core sectors is Pharmaceutical and Life Science. Since our formation Clients have included global leaders in the Pharmaceutical industry. We recently won the E&I contract on the Lilly IE43 Project in Cork and are about to complete the Amgen Mechanical HVAC Project in Dublin.

Dornan is currently working on the Mechanical and HVAC installation for Analogâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s new R&D building in Raheen, Limerick. Dornanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s scope of work includes LPHW, CHW, Natural Gas, CWS, DHWS, Rain Water Recovery, Compressed Air, Vacumm and RO Water Systems.HVAC Installation comprises of supply and installation of Fresh Air, Supply Air and Extract Air Systems. The CHW system comprises of 2no new Air cooled roof mounted Chillers, primary and secondary pumping systems and carbon steel pipework systems in Victaulic (2 ½â&#x20AC;? â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 8â&#x20AC;?) and Mappress (1/2â&#x20AC;? â&#x20AC;&#x201C; '*+7 9!<            %  pumping systems and carbon steel pipework systems in Victaulic (2 ½â&#x20AC;? â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 6â&#x20AC;?) and Mappress (1/2â&#x20AC;? â&#x20AC;&#x201C; 2â&#x20AC;?). Domestic water services will be installed in Mappress Copper throughout. The HVAC system is fed from 10 no roof mounted AHUâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s supplying tempered air to the ceiling spaces which is then conditioned locally by approximately 170 no FCUâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s. The entire Job is being designed and constructed under the LEED umbrella (â&#x20AC;&#x153;LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is transforming the way we think about how our buildings and communities are designed, constructed, maintained and operated across the globe. Based in Ringaskiddy Co Cork Novartis operates a large scale API manufacturing plant along with R&D facilities. We have been working with Novartis since 1994. Working in partnership under a framework agreement, Dornan is currently providing E&I resources for maintenance and construction activities while also working on a number of other projects.

Dornan commenced Pre-construction in Sept 2013 and Construction in Jan 2014. Handover is scheduled for 3rd November 2014.

Dornan is now working with long-standing key Client $%  in Grangecastle, Dublin on the Mechanical HVAC Installation.

Project Dove â&#x20AC;&#x201C; DePuy Synthes Ringaskiddy. Dornan Engineering was recently successful in securing a new mechanical project in DePuy Synthes in Ringaskiddy, Cork. DePuy The company: DePuy is currently the world leader in the manufacture of Orthopaedic and Neurological solutions. They have been based in Cork for the last 17 years.

Successful Start to the Great Island CCGT Project Dornan was awarded the electrical and instrumentation installation works on the 450MW Great Island Power Station by DCI JV in May and commenced work in June. SSE is currently constructing the 450MW CCGT (combined cycle gas turbine) and is expected to be commissioned in 2014.

Congratulations to The Great Northern Hotel, Kings Cross, London, which has been announced as the “Best New Hotel” at the prestigious Condé Naste Johansens 2014 awards. GNH also won “Best 5 Star Interior UK” and “Best 5 Star Hotel UK” at the International Hotel Awards. Dornan is delighted to congratulate GNH on achieving such prominent industry accolades and is very proud of its part in the Project.

&% $  'Dornan is the M&E contractor of choice for Sir Robert McAlpine on this prestigious project in the heart of London. Dornan developed value engineering solutions for the Combined Heating and Power Systems and utilised CAD design to ensure that one model with all building information was constructed for the project.

UK Dornan was awarded design and build of the M&E services for the prestigious Ilford Rail Depot Project The Ilford Yard Stabling Project is to provide stabling for Crossrail rolling stock along this North Eastern section of the Crossrail network. Dornan has been contracted by Volker Fitzpatrick to design and build the M&E services for the project.

Completion of Bentinck Street

This will consist of 3 new buildings, the refurbishment of the existing Workshop,as well as sidings lighting, CCTV and infrastructure distribution.

    <_?          along with luxurious apartments in the heart of London's West End. The building has retained its elegant Edwardian facade and now has a modern interior. The project received a BREEAM rating of excellence and a number of sustainable features such as Ground source heat pumps from 14 no. 150m deep boreholes, Photovoltaic roof slates and solar water heating to the apartments. |

European News Dornan highly commended by DOW

Working with the local community

Bernhard Seggert, DOW Project Director, and Andre Dorffer, Project Manager, highly commended Dornan for their execution of the DOW CoGen Project. Commitment to safety with zero LTIs on site and completing our scope within budget and on schedule impressed DOW.

Dornan and Foster Wheeler Italiana were delighted to donate â&#x201A;Ź5,000 to Lebenshifte Stade e.V.

Dornan carried out Electrical & Instrumentation Works on the SET- CoGen project at the Dow Stadeplant near Hamburg, Germany. Foster Wheeler Italiana is the overall EPCM contractor for the project.

The new Cogeneration power plant is an integral part of Dow Stade Energy Tranformation (SET) Program for their Petrochemical facility. The plant consists of power and steam generating facilities and includes three GTGâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s (Gas Turbine Generator) HRSG (Heat Recovery Steam Generator) trains and one SteamTurbine Generator,as well as interconnecting auxiliary facilities. It will have a capacity of 150 Megawatts of power and associated cogenerated steam.

The construction scope of the contract includes both new install and re-location of existing ser

Our HR commitment to continuous professional development, staff training and education and ongoing mentoring, both formally and informally, has been recognised by the IIP. We are committed to continuing best practice throughout our organisation and are delighted to receive this prestigious accreditation.

EHS - Helping Barnardoâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s through Safety Incentive Scheme. The Dornan SOR (Safety Observation Reporting) incentive scheme raised money for Barnardoâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s based at our Eli Lilly Project in Kinsale, Cork. This is not only for a good cause but it promotes Safety Observation Reporting. Company News EHS, HR AND QUALITY ACCREDITATION UPDATES DORNAN RECEIVES HIGHEST RATING IN ACHILLES BUILDING CONFIDENCE AUDIT DECEMBER 2013. This is the 2nd consecutive year that Dornan has received ZERO NONCONFORMANCES and we have Dornan has been accredited a 5 star rating.

Dornan Engineering Services Ltd, Biffa West Sussex Waste to Energy Plant, M&W Group â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Horsham won a British Safety Council International Safety Award . The award was presented to Owen Oâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;Brien, John Madgwick and Sean Lane at the Gala Dinner in April 2013 at Londonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Grosvenor House Hotel.

We achieved CHAS accreditation under the umbrella organisation Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and are currently in the process of being Safe Contractor accredited.

Company News Dornan was placed on the Top 10 leader board for the â&#x201A;Ź12,226/ÂŁ10,026 contribution made to Irish Cancer Societyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Fundraiser, Movember. A huge achievement for this gallant team of men within Dornan. Tracey Dinneen oversaw the project ensuring all moustaches were grown strictly within the guidelines. Few people can say that they have not been affected by the loss of a loved one who has suffered from cancer. For those not so lucky the research must continue in the hope that this dreadful disease can be cured and families and sufferers alike avoid such unnecessary pain. The participation of Dornanâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s staff growing and shaving off a moustache is only a â&#x20AC;&#x153;minisculeâ&#x20AC;? effort to support the                       

 worthy fundraiser.

A moving and motivational safety talk was given by Paul Blanchard. Paul is a highly experienced and competent builder, who took a risk which changed his life forever. Paul gave a safety talk to employees on Project Fox, UK about the day he fell 12 feet through a fragile roof leaving him wheelchair bound. His presentation highlighted the importance of safety in the workplace and the resulting impact when an accident occurs. Our best wishes and thanks to Paul for his time and inspiration.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate David Myers on accepting his new role as a Director at Dornan. Prior to undertaking this new position he was responsible for strategic and commercial management at our recently completed ÂŁ40m Data Centre project in Leicester. As a former Managing Partner of Gardiner & Theobald in Ireland, David has long been highly respected in the Construction Industry. At Dornan he will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of our large portfolio of work in Ireland and in Europe. Crawley & Brighton Gael GAA Club (Gaelic Football) Crawley & Brighton GAA Club is newly-formed and based in the Crawley Emerald Club. It has a catchment area spanning Brighton to Clapham and Horsham to East Grinstead. Now in its second season,the Club will compete in the London Junior Championship and looks forward to this year’s competition starting in July. The Club was formed from an old Brighton University team and has grown in strength to a panel of over 30 but they are always looking for new members.
