The 2012 Finance Commission was provided the Internal Financial Report of the previous fiscal years by the NORCECA Finance Department. After being reviewed and approved by the Commission Members, the reports were remitted to NORCECA’s external auditors, Ernst & Young, for the final audit of NORCECA’s 2010 and 2011 Financial Statements and Accounts. The NORCECA budgets were strictly followed and the affiliated National Federations complied with the payment of their affiliation fees. As well, all competitions were organized according to the forecasted budgets. NORCECA’s income enabled an increase of a special reserve in order to financially assist the NORCECA Development Program, to host the Regional Caribbean and Central American Youth and Junior Championships, as well as the hosting of the FIVB Beach Volleyball Continental Cup. Following the Congress held in October 2011, the position of Treasurer was decided by the 2012 NORCECA Board of Administration from a selection of 3 qualified candidates. Jesus Prieto of Puerto Rico earned the majority of the votes as the NORCECA Treasurer.

NORCECA Website & Newsletters The NORCECA website has greatly enhanced the profile of NORCECA and its affiliated National Federations by providing better access to breaking stories, up-to-date scores and results from NORCECA and FIVB competitions for our viewers in 41 countries and territories. Additionally, with the approval of a new NORCECA logo, the website and all communication materials have received an updated and increased professional profile. The 2003-2004 and 2009-2010 Yearbooks have been completed, published and distributed in 2011. In addition, a Newsletter summarizing the 2011 Competitions was created and distributed to all the delegates attending the 21st NORCECA Congress. Work is currently being conducted to complete the historical Yearbooks from 2005-2006 and 2007-2008 as well as the commencement of the 2011-2012 Yearbook.

A multi-annual contract agreement was signed once again between NORCECA and Sport Court International. This relationship ensures that each year, 7 Sport Court floors will be available to be distributed among the Category I and II National Federations for the improved access to the game of volleyball, indoor and outdoor, in these developing nations. Additionally, the MOLTEN Corporation contract was renewed for four more years, increasing the amount of volleyball and beach volleyball equipment to be distributed among NORCECA’s National Federations. NORCECA has also engaged in a contract with Media Sports TV, a leading pay-per-view TV Broadcaster and internet streaming company, in order to further promote the game of volleyball within our Confederation and worldwide. All of NORCECA’s major volleyball and beach volleyball events will be available for download on our website, creating an opportunity for hundreds of thousands of volleyball fans to enjoy the spectacle of the game, regardless of where they live within our Confederation.

NORCECA’s Regional Associations NORCECA continues to support and assist the Central American National Federation Association (AFECAVOL), Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (CAZOVA), Eastern Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association (ECVA) and the Central Zone in the development of volleyball, organization of events and hosting of General Assemblies. The regions have been benefitting from NORCECA’s Development Plan since its implementation at the start of 2008 through equipment donations, financial assistance for the organization of youth and junior tournaments, as well as important seminars and courses to further the technical capacity of each country.
