We couldn’t afford the luxury of going to the playoff. I think we got complicated the whole night, our serve failed too much and also we didn’t have the coordination with our settings. Canada remains in contention for a berth in Italy next year by qualifying to the Play-off Round in Guadalajara, Mexico on August 26-31, against the runners-up of the three Norceca’s third round tournaments and the best third place of those events. “The matches against Canada area always a battle with very similar technical level,” said Orlando Samuels, the Cuban coach. “We have more international exposure, but no doubt they will reach the Finals.”
