ADMIN CLERK POSITION (ACCOUNTS) Kutama Sinthumule Correctional Centre (Makhado, Limpopo) Requirements: • A recognized tertiary qualifications in B Com Accounting or Diploma in Accounting with 2 to 3 years of experience in the field of Accounts or Grade 12 with 5 years of experience in the same field of Accounts environment • Valid drivers license • A high level of computer proficiency and first hand experience in Excel Spreadsheet. Essential Criteria: • A high level of Computer literacy and knowledge in implementing policies and procedures using accounting software package. Highly developed oral and written communication skills. Organisational and planning skills. Experience in petty cash management, creditors payments and cash book preparations. High ethnical standards and an exemplary employee in discipline and attendance record. Ability to manage deadlines in a pressurised environment. Job rotation: • The successful candidate will rotate jobs in the interest of career development and operational requirements of the facility. The successful candidate will initially be deployed in the Accounts section. Duties: • Assist the Accountant in the supervision of staff and assignments in the accounts section. Monitor the correct input of data on Infinium Accounts Software relating to General Ledger and Accounts payable. Assist in training and provide advice to staff members. Preparation and recording of payments and receipts through electronic cash books and reconciliation of bank statements • Collation, recording, reconciliation, expense allocation and filing of documentation to ensure the accurate recording of liabilities • Liaise with staff on matters relating to but not limited to cheque payments and creditors. Liaise with creditors when required to seek clarification of invoices and payments made • Preparation and input of General Ledger Journals. Preparation of the General Ledger analysis spreadsheet • Preparation of supporting documents for reimbursement of relevant bank accounts • Attend to other duties as directed by the Accountant.
