d. Measure the outside diameter b of the rocker arm shafts. Out of specification → Replace. Rocker arm shaft outside diameter 11.976 ~ 11.991 mm (0.4715 ~ 0.4721 in) e. Calculate the clearance by subtracting the rocker arm shaft outside diameter from the rocker arm inside diameter. Out of specification → Replace the defective part(s). Rocker arm to shaft standard clearance 0.009 ~ 0.042 mm (0.0004 ~ 0.0017 in) ▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲▲
INSTALLING THE ROCKER ARMS 1. Install: • rocker arms 1 • rocker arm shafts 2 NOTE: • The thread hole a of the rocker arm shaft must face to the outside. • After installation, make sure that the thread hole a of the rocker arm shaft is positioned correctly, as shown in the illustration.
