Moving Ahead by Giving Back MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD 2012 is the International Year of the Co-op as declared by the United Nations and the theme this year states that co-op enterprises “build a better world”. There are 1 billion co-op members in the world and 1 out of 3 people in Canada belong to a co-operative. There are 1 out of 4 people in the USA and 1.4 million in Singapore, 9.8 million people in the UK, so membership in Yorkton Co-op in the various communities we serve shows that we are part of a worldwide movement for the betterment of co-op members. Yorkton Co-op has operations in food, fuel, crop inputs, and hardware with locations throughout Yorkton, Kamsack, Theodore and Ebenezer. Our quality products teamed up with our superb customer service make us a preferred retailer in all of the communities we serve. Yorkton Co-op’s continuing growth and development for the benefit of our members is a priority for your board of directors, management and employees. We are a locally owned and operated business, owned by the members in Yorkton and surrounding area who share in the profits, services and benefits of Yorkton Co-op. We are extremely excited to announce our record results for the year ending January 31, 2012. Sales exceeded $81.3 million dollars and our net savings was more than $5.4 million dollars. This year, the allocation of member’s equity is as follows: Food – 2.5% Agro – Petroleum – 8.5% Agro – Other – 1.0% Gas Bar – Other – 2.0% The Board is very pleased to announce that we have approved a cash repayment in excess of $1.5 million dollars for 2011 operations and the cheques were handed out April 23-27. All remaining cheques that were not picked up will be mailed out. Yorkton Co-op has certainly helped to “build a better world” by returning the profits to our local members and we will continue to do so in the future.

YORKTON CO-OP CELEBRATES ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL YEAR! It really does pay to be a member. Yorkton Co-op fuel purchasers received an 8.5% allocation on their 2011 fuel purchases from Yorkton Co-op. This equates to an average of 9.8 cents per litre back to you. If you purchase your fuel through one of Yorkton’s cardlocks, you receive an additional 2 cents per litre. This equates to almost 12 cents per litre savings. Yorkton’s cardlocks are located on York Road and Hamilton Road in Yorkton, and in Theodore and Rhein. Not a member? Sign up today and join in on the savings! If it’s bulk fuel you are after, call the Agro Centre on Hamilton Road. The fleet of trucks and friendly, knowledgeable drivers will make sure you don’t run out of fuel when you need it most. MESSAGE FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER I want to take this opportunity to thank our member customers for their continued support as Yorkton Co-op has enjoyed a record year for both sales and savings. 2011 sales exceeded $81.3 million, an increase of 25.6% over the previous year’s sales. We are “moving ahead by giving back” and we are pleased to be able to forward a general repayment of equity in excess of $1,500,000. Our focus will continue to be a retailer of choice by providing quality products and services while providing membership benefits to our more than 14,000 members. Applying the co-operative model of business, when Yorkton Co-op earns a profit, those profits are returned back to you, the members, based on your purchases. We also know that clean, modern facilities are important to you, so we will continue to develop and capitalize on new opportunities as they arise. The announcement that a new food store will be built in Kamsack follows through with these promises. We will continue to develop and focus on infrastructure as the needs of the members arise.
