Onze artistes ont répondu par un grand OUI à l’initiative de Byblos, mettant leur énergie créatrice au service de la paix. Ils ont choisi de travailler l’un des deux thèmes proposés: « L’art, sauvera-t-il le monde ? » ou « La soif dans le monde ». Les pages suivantes sont consacrées à sept d’entre eux. Quatre autres artistes rejoindront l’exposition collective, avec six tableaux supplémentaires. L’exposition aura lieu à l’ONU et en ville. Elle culminera par une vente aux enchères, dont 40% des recettes iront résoudre un problème de soif, à Madagascar, à travers les services de l’organisation humanitaire suisse, MEDAIR SA. A travers ce genre d’expositions, nous espérons sensibiliser l’opinion publique aux problèmes majeurs de notre monde, source potentielle de conflits menaçant la paix universelle. Artists in the service of peace Eleven artists have responded with a resonating YES to the Byblos initiative, choosing to apply their creative energy to the service of peace. They have chosen to tackle one of the two proposed themes: Art, will it save the world? or Thirst in the world. The following pages are dedicated to the seven of these artists. Four other artists will take part in the collective exhibition with six additional paintings. The exhibition will take place at the UN and in the city. It will culminate in an auction, from which 40% of the revenues will go to solve the problem of lack of drinking water in Madagascar through the Swiss humanitarian organization MEDAIR, SA. Through this type of exhibition, we hope to increase public awareness of the major problems of our world, a potential source of conflict threatening universal peace. In acquiring one of these beautiful works, you give it an additional significance: art in the service of peace. Künstler für den Frieden Elf Künstler haben der Initiative von Byblos ihre Unterstützung zugesagt und werden ihre künstlerische Energie in den Dienst des Friedens stellen. Sie haben sich zur Beschäftigung mit einem der beiden vorgeschlagenen Themen „Wird die Kunst die Welt retten?“ oder „Der Durst in der Welt“ entschieden. Die folgenden Seiten sind sieben dieser Künstler gewidmet. Vier weitere Künstler werden mit sechs zusätzlichen Gemälden an der Gemeinschaftsausstellung teilnehmen. Die Ausstellung wird bei der UNO und in der Stadt zu sehen sein. Ihr Höhepunkt wird eine Auktion werden, deren Erlöse zu 40 % der Bekämpfung eines Wassermangel-Problems in Madagaskar zugutekommen werden, um das sich die Schweizer Hilfsorganisation MEDAIR SA kümmert. Themen für 2011: Wirtschaftsflüchtlinge und politische Flüchtlinge & Andersartigkeit – eine Bedrohung oder eine Bereicherung? Artisti al servizio della pace Undici artisti hanno accolto l’iniziativa di Byblos con un grande SÌ, mettendo la propria energia creativa al servizio della pace. Hanno scelto di elaborare uno dei due temi proposti: L’arte salverà il mondo?/La sete nel mondo. Le pagine seguenti sono dedicate a sette di questi artisti. Gli altri quattro parteciperanno alla mostra collettiva, con sei quadri aggiuntivi. La mostra avrà luogo presso la sede dell’ONU e nel centro città. L’evento culminerà con una vendita all’asta, di cui il 40% dei ricavati andrà a risolvere in piccola parte il problema della sete in Madagascar, attraverso i servizi dell’organizzazione umanitaria svizzera MEDAIR SA. Artistas al servicio de la paz Once artistas han respondido con un gran SÍ a la iniciativa de Byblos y han puesto su energía creadora al servicio de la paz. Para inspirar sus obras, se les dio a escoger entre dos temas: «¿Salvará el arte al mundo?» o «La sed en el mundo». Las páginas siguientes están dedicadas a siete de estos creadores. Otros cuatro se les unirán con seis cuadros adicionales en una exposición colectiva que tendrá lugar en la sede de la ONU y en nuestra ciudad. La muestra culminará con una subasta en la que el 40% de las pujas ganadoras se destinará a dar solución a un problema relacionado con la sed en Madagascar a través de la organización humanitaria suiza MEDAIR SA. Por medio de este tipo de exposiciones, esperamos sensibilizar a la opinión pública acerca los grandes problemas de nuestro mundo, fuente potencial de conflictos que amenazan la paz universal. Quienes adquieran una de estas hermosas obras estarán haciendo una inversión doble: en arte al servicio de la paz. Художники в борьбе за мир Одиннадцать художников с готовностью ответили «Да!» на инициативу Библоса. Они готовы вложить свою созидательную энергию в дело защиты мира. Выбор, который они сделали, касался работы над одной из следующих тем: «Спасет ли искусство мир?» и «Жажда в мире». Следующие страницы посвящены семерым из них. Четыре оставшихся художника присоединятся к коллективной выставке с шестью дополнительными полотнами. Выставка состоится в ООН, и в городе. Она окончится аукционом, 40 % доходов от которого пойдут на решение проблемы нехватки воды на Мадагаскаре в рамках акции швейцарской гуманитарной организации Медэр.
