Enhance Your Résumé In an increasingly globalized and interconnected world, going abroad can help you stand out as a candidate for employment or future studies. Such an experience demonstrates that you have interest and experience learning about and exploring cultures other than your own. In your résumé, you can tailor your study abroad experience towards your career goals, and in an interview you can talk about your experience abroad, highlighting personal growth abroad and qualities you gained such as self-awareness, nonverbal communication skills, and the ability to adapt to new environments. One of the best things about going abroad is that with hard work, you can come back possessing knowledge and skills in a variety of areas that will help you personally, professionally, and academically, for the rest of your life!
