In this spirit and with the end of the tax year in sight, it’s a good time for people to get out their checkbooks, credit and debit cards and to give as generously as they can to local and state nonprofit and charitable organizations whose work improves lives and protects the natural world. This section is a detailed guide to organizations working within the Sun Valley area and Idaho that will welcome your support in continuing their good work. They help kids grow up strong, smart and well-adjusted, protect the environment, keep open spaces open, conserve wildlife, and present artistic and intellectual experiences uncommon in other places of similar size. Dollars count, and no amount is too small. No dollars? Give time by becoming a volunteer. Why should you give? Perhaps the Lorax, a character in an old Dr. Seuss book, said it best: “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” So, care a lot. Make it better. Donate to these fine organizations today.
