Why Sponsor WTFC? CLUB HISTORY Formed in 1946, and playing at Hough End Fields on Princess Road, Withington, Wythenshawe Town were originally known as North Withington FC, The club was re-named in 1987 following a few seasons at their new ground in Wythenshawe; named Ericstan Park as a tribute to Eric Reynard and Stan Orme who were prime movers in the club's early days. After a long period playing in the Lancashire and Cheshire League the club joined the Manchester League in 1974. Wythenshawe Town Football Club senior section now has three teams in the Cheshire League and one in the Manchester Sunday League, along with a successful junior section. In 2014, Wythenshawe moved from the Manchester League to the Cheshire League 2, a league with representatives from Altrincham, Witton Albion and many more. Lee McGregor took charge of the squad in the pre-season preceding the 2014/15 season. The club is planning a huge ground development; stands and club structure are due to undergo a makeover. We want a club that Wythenshawe will be proud of and our sponsors help drive the club to bring Wythenshawe, a semi-pro football club. Sponsorship starts a £5 and every penny we raise will helps us succeed. Programme Advertising ‘THE TOWN REVIEW’ The Matchday programme, is a vital part of the ‘Groundhopper’ or football fans day out experience. It’s something that people collect and will fondly look back on specific matches for years to come. Your advertising lasts for years to come, and advertisers help to keep the programme cost affordable for fans which exposes your business to more potential customers. ‘The Town Review’ is Wythenshawe Town’s Matchday programme which has proved a hit in its first season with many fans providing positive feedback and so it’s gained a lot of attention. Twitter has become the hub of footballing social media activities in recent years with match updates, news updates and anything to do with the club posted to all their followers. We now have over 1,200 followers, a great reach for a business to access. We’re the 3rd most followed club in the whole of the Cheshire League and our success has got us more followers. FACEBOOK Our Facebook page has enabled the club to easily interact with players and fans easily. We have over 200 likes on our page (https://www.facebook.com/WythenshaweTown). Likes and shares will appear in more peoples feeds so the increased coverage we are getting means this will only get bigger and ensure any association with your business on our Facebook page will increase brand awareness. In addition to that anytime an article mentions your player, it’ll have, ‘sponsored by…..’, in the article. TRAINING KIT SPONSOR If you wish to sponsor your favourite player but for half of the price then the training kit package is best for you.
