A Lasting Impression “There is no doubt that Slippery Rock University is a better place today thanks to President Smith’s leadership,” remarked Josh Young, chair of the Council of Trustees. “He really understood the link between the success of the University and the county,” Dale Pinkerton, Butler County commissioner added. “He and Ramona will really be missed.” As Smith’s tenure winds down, patches of blank walls, moving boxes and mailing-tape-scattered countertops at the President’s Residence on Maltby hint at the big upcoming move and the next Slippery Rock University era. “It’s bittersweet to be sure,” the president said. “But in my heart I know that we have done great work here, which will provide a rock-solid pathway to the many accomplishments yet to come.” #524428 1-2012The
