BUSY WEEK IN WWPA

WWPA action hits one of its busiest weekends of the year in Week #10 as six conference match-ups highlight the week.

Wednesday, Mar. 20 Macalester at CS San Bernardino - 3 pm

eek No. 10 is shaping to be one of the busiest on the year in the Western Water Polo Association as six conference match-ups highlight a 24game week. UC San Diego is coming off a big 4-0 weekend at the Aztec Invitational, defeating three ranked opponents. Freshman goalie Courtney Miller led the Tritons to the big weekend and is the KAP7 WWPA Player of the Week.

The Tritons are the only team with a bye on the week as six conference match-ups will dominate the weekend. It begins with Cal State Monterey Bay traveling to Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday for a 2 pm start. The 2013 LMU Invitational will be the site of the other five WWPA showdowns. On Friday, Sonoma State takes on host LMU at 11:30 am, followed by Cal State East Bay and CSUSB at 12:45 pm. The Pioneers and Lions will close Friday at 4:30 pm. Then on Saturday CSUSB and Sonoma State will play at 10:15, followed by CSUMB and LMU at 11:30 am. As for the Tritons, the freshman Miller helped lead UCSD to No. 15 in the national poll this week thanks to its second straight 4-0 week, totaling 38 saves at the Aztec Invitational. The Honolulu native had 23 stops in the final day of the tournament, posting 12 against No. 11 Indiana and 11 in the final game of the weekend, a 7-4 victory over Bucknell. She also hit double digits with 10 saves in a 7-6 comeback win over No. 13 Cal State Northridge. It was the first victory for the Tritons in four meetings against the Matadors this season. Miller leads the Western Water Polo Association with 190 saves on the year. The Tritons take a week off from compe-
