A WINNING TRADITION Few programs across the country can equal the level of success the Mountaineers have enjoyed over recent years. Widely regarded as one of the most respected programs in the nation, West Virginia’s notoriety does not come without merit. Under coach Sean Cleary, 12 student-athletes have garnered All-America honors, while 27 athletes have achieved the rank in the history of WVU track and field. During the 2010-11 season alone, 13 All-America honors were captured by eight different athletes. Over the past two seasons, WVU athletes have achieved 17 Big East individual titles and 12 athletes have qualified to participate at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, including a school-best seven in 2011.
