COMBINED BACHELOR’S/MASTER’S DEGREE PROGRAM The Combined Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Program is designed for motivated, high-achieving students who wish to pursue rigorous and accelerated study. Enrolling at University College Whether your goal is to take courses for personal or professional enrichment or to earn a degree or certificate from Washington University, we offer flexible, affordable options that allow you to pursue your goals at a world-class research institution. Our open enrollment policy allows students to take evening undergraduate courses on a non-degree basis without submitting an application for admission, while our degree and certificate programs require an application and supporting documentation. Admission requirements vary by program; find more information online at ucollege.wustl.edu/programs. There are two ways to enroll at University College: as a non-degree-seeking student or as a degree-seeking student. Explore the differences below to see which option makes sense for your professional and educational goals.

NON-DEGREE STUDY • Courses may be taken for professional advancement, in preparation for application to a degree or certificate program, or for personal enrichment. • Courses may be taken on a pass/fail, audit, or credit basis. • Includes special enrollment types such as Visiting Undergraduate, Graduate-At-Large, and Special Audit. • Not eligible for federal financial aid, scholarships, grants, or other funding sources. • No application required. • Register for courses online at acadinfo.wustl.edu/ucollege.

Undergraduate Application Process Once your application is submitted and complete, the application review process takes approximately four to six weeks.

Designed to meet the needs of transfer students, we have a generous transfer credit policy for course work completed at other accredited institutions. Transfer credit is awarded toward all categories of course work in University College. See an academic advisor to determine which courses may be transferred.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS To apply for the Associate of Arts & Bachelor of Science degree, you will need: • a high school diploma or GED; • at least six units of transferrable college-level course work from an accredited institution*; and • a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7. To apply for an undergraduate certificate, you will need: • a high school diploma or GED. Applicants should speak with an academic advisor about course prerequisites or skills needed to succeed in individual certificate programs. * Required units may be earned at University College.

Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program Our Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program enables qualified college graduates to take core and elective science and math courses that satisfy admission requirements for allopathic and osteopathic medicine, dentistry, podiatry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant, and other professional programs. The program is flexible to support students who need prerequisites, as well as those who have completed most or all of those prerequisites but need additional preparation.

LINKAGE PROGRAMS A linkage is a special relationship between a post-baccalaureate premedical program and a medical school. Linkage arrangements can benefit students during the medical school application process in a variety of ways. Depending on the terms, qualified students may be guaranteed an interview or may be admitted through a streamlined process, which saves the glide year. POST-BACCALAUREATE PREMEDICAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Applicants should have a completed baccalaureate degree with a minimum 3.2 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), including at least one college-level English composition course with a grade of B or higher, and one college-level mathematics course with a grade of B or higher. AP credit that is reflected on a college transcript may be used to satisfy these prerequisites. Application review takes four to six weeks after all materials have been received.

Registration, Tuition & Financial Aid REGISTRATION Online registration: Opens November 8, 2017. Visit acadinfo.wustl.edu/ucollege to register. In-person registration: Visit the University College office at 11 North Jackson Road, Suite 1000, St. Louis, MO 63105. Students must pay in full (cash, check, credit card) or provide an approved alternate method of payment (financial aid, employer reimbursement, military benefit, WashU tuition benefit, or payroll deduction) prior to registering. Preferred registration deadline: December 28, 2017. Final registration deadline: January 25, 2018 (for 8-wk short courses: within 24 hours of the first class meeting). Late registration: Registrations for full semester courses after January 25, 2018, require instructor approval and are assessed a $50 late fee.

TUITION Undergraduate: $650–$850/unit Graduate: $650–$995/unit Special Audit: $350-$550/course Lab Materials: $15–$350 Exact tuition and fees are listed with each course. Register by January 25, 2018, to avoid a $50 late registration fee. Unpaid balances after January 25, 2018, may be assessed a late payment fee of at least $50 or 5% of the outstanding balance.

FINANCIAL AID University College offers opportunities for financial assistance, including federal and state grants and loans, merit- and needbased scholarships, and employee tuition reimbursement. Students applying for federal financial aid must be admitted to a degree program or select certificate programs, and are required to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), Evening School Profile, and additional financial aid documents. Undergraduate students must register for 6 units of course work a semester, and graduate students are required to register for 4.5 units during the fall and spring semesters and 3 units during the summer. Financial aid applications frequently take eight or more weeks to process. Students should apply for financial aid as early as possible. New Parking Policies for University College Students In 2017, Washington University in St. Louis started the largest capital project in the recent history of the Danforth campus, transforming the east end to align with the university’s core academic mission of groundbreaking discovery, research, and teaching. During this time of transformation, we want to remind you of some of the parking changes on Danforth campus. After 5 p.m., the Danforth campus is open for parking in any parking space not marked as red or reserved. Those who do not need to park on campus all day but do need a space prior to 5 p.m., can purchase an evening permit, which is valid starting at 3:30 p.m. Permit options are as follows: •

Evening Red Permits: Available to faculty and staff and valid in any red or reserved space in any zone from 3:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Friday, and on weekends.

Evening Yellow Permits: Available to full-time day undergraduate students (junior or higher standing who live offcampus) as well as any part-time undergraduate or graduate students in University College and part-time, degreeor certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate students in any of Washington University’s schools (Business, Engineering, etc.). These permits are valid in any space not marked as red or reserved in Zones 2 and 3 from 3:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and on weekends.

In addition, there are a series of spaces along Forsyth that have been reassigned as “Perimeter Red” parking spaces. Between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, these spaces require a Red Faculty/Staff Permit; however, these spaces are open to anyone from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m., Monday through Friday, and on weekends.

Arts & Sciences Day Audit Program In addition to the Special Audit option for evening courses in University College, adult students may audit select undergraduate day courses in the College of Arts & Sciences for $350 on a noncredit, space-available basis. The Arts & Sciences Day Audit Program is designed for personal enrichment, and courses taken do not receive credit toward a degree or certificate program.
