Jefferson Express is here to help you invest in your most valuable resource ... yourself! Our fall workshops and trainings cover areas on technology, professional growth and personal enrichment. We also have a variety of allied health pre-certification trainings, and training for human resource professionals. Our online education partners, Gatlin, Ed2Go, and The Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), offer online trainings and pre-certifications. The schedule is built with you in mind. Refund policy: 24-hour notice is required to receive a 100% refund. Notice must be given during business hours Monday - Friday. There is no refund after the first day of the workshop. The 24-hour refund notice does not apply to online trainings or trainings offered through ed2go or Gatlin. Time and date changes and other rescheduling may be made if necessary. The college also reserves the right to cancel any under-enrolled workshop. Participants will receive a full refund if a workshop is cancelled due to low enrollment. Participants are officially enrolled when we receive the registration with payment. We will only contact you if there is a change in your workshop. Home healthcare aides (HHA) assist patients primarily in their homes, but may also work in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, long term care facilities, hospice and assisted living facilities. HHA focus on the patient’s specific and basic health and personal needs including nutrition and special diets. JCC’s HHA training program consists of 80-hours of training in the areas of eldercare, working with ill persons, home management and communication. Detailed course topics include the role of the home health aide, client relationships, infection control, hospice care, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, dressing and personal grooming, foot care and other relevant topics. In addition to the responsibilities of a Home Healthcare Aide, this program will prepare students to sit for the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) Home Care Aide Certification examination through the NAHC’s Homecare University Program.
