Across these epidemics, the community empowerment-based, comprehensive HIV prevention may cumulatively avert between 550 adult infections, as observed in Thailand, and approximately 14,800 infections, as in Kenya, in addition to the number of infections averted by ART within the five year time span. Even at the lowest range of impacts, we see that the expansion of the community empowerment-based, comprehensive HIV prevention may cumulatively avert between 400 and 12,000 adult infections across the epidemics.
