HIV PREVENTION PROGRAM INDICATORS

Social change communication for youth (15–24) and adults (25 and older): All persons–young and old–receive appropriate messages and acquire competencies to help them make decisions that would protect them against HIV transmission.

% of population who have participated in at least 2 HIV prevention services

Condom distribution: Sufficient condoms are available to all persons who need them.

Total number of male and female condoms available for distribution nationwide during the last 12 months per person aged 15–49, and per person aged 15–19

Male Circumcision: All uncircumcised men have been circumcised.

% of primary health care clinics that offer male circumcision services

% of peer education programs that provide specific messaging around MCP-related social norms

HIV TREATMENT AND CARE PROGRAM INDICATORS

HIV testing and counseling: Men, women, and couples of all ages know their HIV status and are referred to appropriate support services.

% of women and men aged 15-49 who received an HIV test in the last 12 months and who know their results (by location where service is provided)

Antiretroviral therapy: All men and women who need HIV treatment, during any stage of their illness, receive it

% of adults and children with advanced HIV infection receiving antiretroviral therapy % of tuberculosis patients who had an HIV test result recorded in the tuberculosis register % of estimated HIV-positive incident tuberculosis cases that received treatment for tuberculosis and HIV % of ART facilities that provide nutrition support

Community and home-based care: Vulnerable individuals, families, the homesteads and communities they live in, are supported and cared for through home-based care, rehabilitation, and other services.

% of registered practitioners who have been trained in Traditional health therapies and alternative providing HIV-related services health therapies: Traditional health therapists and alternative health therapists operate according to an agreed service provision framework that is complementary to services provided at health facilities.
