About the Editors and Conference Presenters
Soogil Young has been President of the National Strategy Institute in Seoul since 2006. Concurrently he serves on the Presidential Committee on Green Growth, where he chairs the Subcommittee on Growth and Industries, and on the Advisory Joint Committee for Financial Advancement for the Financial Services Commission. He is Chairman of the Korea National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, Chairman of the Green Investment Forum Korea, and Vice-Chair of the Seoul Financial Forum. He was also Korea’s Ambassador to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. He obtained his PhD in economics from Johns Hopkins University. Ernesto Zedillo is Director of the Yale Center for the Study of Globalization, Professor of International Economics and Politics, Professor of International and Area Studies, and Professor Adjunct of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University. He served as President of Mexico from 1994 to 2000. He is Chairman of Board of the Global Development Network and is a member of the Foundation Board of the World Economic Forum, the Trilateral Commission, the G-30, the Board of Directors of the Institute for International Economics, and the Board of Directors of the Inter-American Dialogue. In addition, he sits on the Board of Directors of several international corporations and has participated in numerous international commissions.
