Overflow Parking When the Cypress Cove parking lot is full, overflow parking is available at the two parking lots of nearby Woodridge Park District parks. Orchard Hill is just south of the water park, on the east side of Janes Avenue and Falconridge is south of the facility on the west side of Janes Avenue. Parking anywhere else is at your own risk.

SEASON PASS RENEWAL & ID CARDS Renewal Options Cards Issued in 2013 and 2014

Returning pass holders not needing pictures can register online, by mail, in person, or by fax. Proof of residency (i.e. utility bill) is not required for renewal purchases.

New pass holders or pass holders needing new pictures (members with passes issued in 2012) will need to register in person.

Online at www.woodridgeparks.org You can renew your season pass online only if you have no changes to your pass (no additional people). On the website, select the “Programs & Registration” button, then select “Online Registration”. Log in and click on “My Account”. Select “View Full Purchase History” for the person who is the main contact for the account. Then select the “Renew” button listed next to the “Cypress Cove Swim Pass”. The cost of the season pass will be added to your shopping cart. Early bird online registration ends at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. Fax (630) 353-3320 Complete the Season Pass Renewal Application (see page 22 of this guide) or download the application at www.woodridgeparks.org. Fax the completed application to (630) 353-3320. For children 15 years and under, Birth Certificates and Passports are accepted). Step 2: Present the required items to a registration clerk. (There is no registration form to complete). Step 3: Take photos the day of registration. (Please make sure all pass holders are present).

Resident ID Card Benefits & Information Save money by purchasing a Resident ID Card and receive resident rates at Cypress Cove Aquatic Park and Village Greens Golf Course. Resident ID cards cost $3 each and are valid for 3 years. Cards that are not expired will be validated annually free of charge. Lost cards cost $3 each. Anyone without a Resident ID card will pay general admission at the pool and golf course. To register for a Resident ID Card, please follow the same steps listed above for new season pass purchases.

Coupon books are available for purchase at the Community Center beginnning March 23 through May 22 and at Cypress Cove beginning May 23 during open swim hours, weather permitting. Pass holders must present their current season pass to purchase coupon books. Group Outings If you have a group of twenty or more aquatic park fanatics, you can visit Cypress Cove at a discounted rate during open swim hours. Cypress Cove is the ideal field trip for day camps, day cares, family outings and any other group! Adult supervision required. In order to received resident rates, the resident group leader must show proof of residency with a valid Park District Resident ID or season pass. Bullfrog Bayou Rental Bullfrog Bayou is a spray play area. This area is great for kids under 42 inches and timid swimmers. The Cajun-themed shrimp boat and interactive water features for varying ages is sure to make your next party a hit! Adult Lap Swim Rules 1. Lap Swimmers are required to share lanes whenever there are more swimmers than lanes available. Circle swimming is to be utilized. At all times, 3 lane lines will be set up, lap swim can still occur without a present lane line. 2. Depending on attendance, management reserves the right to assign additional lanes to aquatic group programs and classes. The manager on duty will be responsible for setting lanes lines as necessary. 3. All Park District Aquatic Programs (i.e., Swim Lessons, Private Swim Lessons, Swim Team, etc.) have priority over Lap Swim Lanes in the Program Pool. 4. During general open swim hours, 11:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m., the program pool and its lane lines are available to all ages. If you wish to use a lane line for lap swim, and it is occupied by a guest who is not lap swimming, please ask a lifeguard to clear the lane for you. 5. Adult Swim Only will be held from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Ages 16 years and up are welcome during Adult Swim. 6. The Adult Swim schedule is subject to change without notice. Finding the Location of Your Lesson Swim lessons are color-coded to help participants find the location of their lessons with ease. Make note of the color associated with your registered class. Lesson Coordinators will be wearing polo shirts with the matching colors so you can easily identify and locate them on the pool deck.

Rain Days At the end of each session two days are scheduled as rain days. Rain days are only used if a lesson was cancelled by the Lesson Coordinator. Only two rain days are possible for each session and they will occur RAIN or SHINE. Safety skills and lessons will occur on inclement rain days. There are no make-ups for sickness or vacation. SWIM TEAM Woodridge Sea Lions Swim Team Swim Team is a two-month program with daily morning practice and swim meets on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. Practices are held at Cypress Cove between 6:30 and 10:00 a.m. Swim meets will be at home, Cypress Cove, and at various pools through DuPage County. Swimmers are guaranteed to swim at least four dual meets plus one conference meet. The Woodridge Park District is entering its 36th season as a member of the DuPage Swim & Dive Conference. Swimmers are divided into five age groups: 8 years and younger, 9 – 10 years, 11 – 12 years, 13 – 14 years, and 15 – 18 years. June 1, 2015 is the cut off for age groups. Birth certificates are required for new swimmers only and must be presented at the time of registration. Meets are scored according to the United States Swimming (USS) rules for 2015. New swimmers must be able to swim one continuous length of the pool. New swimmers are required to pass a swim test appropriate for their level of competition. Coaches reserve the right to refuse a swimmer who cannot perform up to their level of competition.

The Parent Association works to provide support for the swim team through officiating and coordinating the meets, as well as fundraising. Each family will be required to pay a $50 association fee in lieu of fundraising. The funds are used to provide extra equipment, team awards and other important items. Every parent of a child on the swim team is automatically a member of the Parent’s Association and we need your help. Each parent will be required to help to make the meets run smoothly. Parents must volunteer for 5 meets. Instructions on volunteering for meets will be made available after registration and prior to the start of the season. Families that do not meet the volunteer requirement will be automatically waitlisted for the following season.

GENERAL INFORMATION Lifeguard Staff The Woodridge Park District Lifeguard Staff will start this season under the top national waterpark safety program, StarGuard. The guard staff undergoes an intense 20-hour training course, including rescue skills, emergency response skills, community CPR, first aid and AED training. The staff must also attend weekly in-service training sessions to review their skills. Throughout the season, auditors from StarGuard will conduct three unannounced visits to audit staff performance. Our Lifeguard Staff received the prestigious 5 Star Award for exceeding criteria for aquatic safety in 2014.

Health, Safety Rules and Regulations • Park District IDs must be presented to receive resident rates. • Children age 9 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older. • Children not potty trained must wear swim diapers or plastic pants under their swimsuit. Swim diapers are available for purchase. Swim diapers must have tight fitting elastic around waist and legs or plastic pants will be required. • All guests must wear bathing suits if they are swimming in any area of the facility. Leotards, cutoffs, unlined shorts, and color T-shirts are not permitted. • U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices are allowed. Water wings and other flotation devices are prohibited, except at designated times. Lifejackets are available for use with collateral (i.e. license, membership card). • Food and beverages are available at the concession stand. Food and coolers may not be brought into the park. Sealed water bottles are allowed and must contain water. • Chewing gum, oil products and glass containers are not permitted in the park. • The Park District can not be held responsible for loss or theft of any personal belongings. • Lockers are available, however, patrons must supply locks or purchase one at the General Store. Locks must be removed each day or they will be cut off. • Children age 6 years and older must use appropriate locker rooms. • Only clean shoes and sandals are permitted on the deck. • Patrons must be 42” tall to ride the tube slide, body slides and drop slide. • Smoking is prohibited inside the park. Smoking is permitted outside of the facility - 25 feet from entrance. • Aquatic facilities may close if wind chill drops below 68 degrees, if attendance drops below 20 swimmers, or under unusual circumstances. • Persons violating any personal conduct regulations, either written or verbal, will be subject to eviction without a refund or to other disciplinary actions. • Rules can be added or waived by management when appropriate. • All other state and local health laws apply. • No refunds. Rain checks only given for inclement weather, within guidelines stated in the rain check policy. • Photographic devices and cell phones are not permitted in the locker rooms. • No shoes on spray pad. • No strollers on spray pad.

Supervision of Children • Parents/guardians must be responsible for supervising their children. Lifeguards are on duty only to enforce rules and to respond in emergency situations. • Children 9 and under must be accompanied by a chaperone 18 years or older. • Nonswimmers must have a chaperone 18 years or older within arms reach at all times. 20

GENERAL INFORMATION Water Slide Information • You must be at least 42" tall to ride the tube slide, drop slide and body slides. • Only single tubes are allowed on the tube slide. Double tubes are not permitted. • In order to access the tube slide, all tubers will be guided forward into the slide by a deck attendant. • All persons must slide down in a sitting position or on their back, feet-first. Sliding down head-first and flipping over are prohibited. • Only one person is allowed on the slide at a time. • Stopping intentionally, standing or kneeling on the slide is strictly prohibited. • Pregnant women and people with head, neck or back problems should not use the slides. • No glasses, metal objects, keys, goggles, flotation devices or shirts allowed on the slide. • Catching children is strictly prohibited. • Hands must be kept inside the slide at all times and each person should exit the pool immediately after each slide. • Additional rules may be added by the management if necessary. • Kiddie slides are only for children 42" and UNDER. • No outside food or beverage allowed inside the park. Bottled water is permitted.

Rain Check Policy - Receipt Required!

Pool Closings

The initial entry receipt will act as your rain check if the facility closes due to inclement weather. Patrons should hold on to their receipt in case of inclement weather. If the pool reopens, those issued a rain check must redeem their receipt to enter.

The pool will be closed if the wind chill is 68 degrees or below, or at the manager’s discretion based on inclement weather, low attendance, or unusual circumstances. Refunds will not be given. Persons wishing to re-enter must present the receipt of purchase with the time and date to the Cypress Cove admissions office. Adult Swim/Safety Breaks Cypress Cove will have safety breaks at 1:00, 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. where all patrons will exit the pools and rest for 15 minutes to prevent any possible distressed swimmers due to exhaustion, dehydration or heat-related illnesses. At this time adults 16 and older are allowed to swim in the main pool, lazy river and program pool. 21

REGISTRATION INFORMATION Behavior Policy Participants are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The following guidelines have been developed to help make Park District programs safe and enjoyable for all participants. Additional rules may be developed for particular programs and athletic leagues as deemed necessary by staff. Participants shall: 1. Show respect to all participants and staff, take direction from staff. 2. Refrain from using abusive or foul language. 3. Refrain from causing bodily harm to self, other participants, or staff. 4. Show respect to equipment, supplies and facilities. A positive approach will be used regarding discipline. Staff will periodically review rules with participants during the program session. If inappropriate behavior occurs, prompt resolution will be sought specific to each individual situation. The Park District reserves the right to dismiss a participant whose behavior endangers the safety of himself/herself or others. Special Note To Parents The Woodridge Park District provides a safe and stimulating environment for your child’s growth, please help us maintain our high-quality programs. Safety: Please drop off and pick up your child at the facility. Age: To enroll in a class, a child must have attained the proper age of the desired class by the first class session. Proof of Age: Proof of age in the form of a birth certificate may be required. If a child is not the appropriate age for a class, he/she will be dropped from the program. Parent & Child Classes: Siblings of the enrolled children may not attend class. Enrollment Status Please do not call the Park District office concerning your enrollment status in programs until after April 10. Participants should assume they are registered in a class unless contacted by the Park District.

Resident Registration Begins Wednesday, March 11 Select a way to register: 1. Online at www.woodridgeparks.org Select Programs & Registration from the main menu, and then select the Online Registration link from the left side of the page. Login, select activities and pay via Visa or Mastercard. 2. Fax to (630) 353-3320 Complete the registration form, sign the waiver, fill out the Visa or Mastercard information, and fax to 353-3320. 3. Mail-in/Drop off at 2600 Center Drive, Woodridge, IL 60517 Complete the registration form, sign the waiver and enclose payment. DO NOT SEND CASH! Make checks payable to the Woodridge Park District. Fill out the Visa or Mastercard information for credit card payments. If you need additional space for programs, attach a sheet with all the necessary information. Nonresident Registration Begins Wednesday, March 18 Refund Policy No refund will be granted after the third meeting of the program or after 50% of the classes have been held (whichever is earlier) with the exception of a written medical excuse prior to completion of the program. A $5 administrative charge will be deducted from the amount of refund for each program, including refunds for medical reasons. Medical excuses will result in a pro-rated refund based upon the number of classes held prior to the date listed on the physician’s excuse. No refunds will be given for a trip unless there is a replacement or the trip is cancelled. The Park District does reserve the right to cancel a program if the enrollment is not sufficient to justify sponsorship of the activity. Participants will receive a phone call and the option of a refund or leaving the balance on their account.

General Registration Information 1. Telephone registration is NOT accepted. 2. When completing your form, you MUST provide ALL the requested information. Forms that are not filled out completely or unreadable will be returned. The information on the form is imperative for processing. 3. Participants should assume they are registered in a class unless contacted by the Park District. If a registrant was not randomly selected into a class, the Park District staff will contact the registrant by phone to discuss other program options. In many cases the staff will be opening new sessions of the more popular programs. 4. If the program of your choice is filled, we will automatically put your name on the waiting list. 5. Resident fees are for Woodridge Park District residents. Nonresident fees are typically 50% more than resident fees. 6. The Woodridge Park District cannot be responsible for late or misdirected mail. 7. There will be a $25 service charge for checks returned due to insufficient funds. 8. Participants must be of age by the first day of class. Registration Policies 1. The Woodridge Park District reserves the right to alter the schedule, cancel, or add programs when enrollment warrants. Waiting lists will be taken when programs are filled, and every attempt will be made to accommodate people on these lists. 2. The Park District assumes no liability for personal injuries or loss of personal property while attending Woodridge Park District activities. 3.
