Senior | Right Handed Pitcher | 6-2 | 180 Selinsgrove, Pa. / Port Trevorton (Cecil CC) 2013 Season: Second on the team with 30 appearances out of the pen in his first season as a Wildcat – second on the team with three saves – earned first two saves as a Wildcats in a doubleheader sweep against Franklin Pierce on march 2 – picked up first win in an innings work against Saint Rose – tossed a season’s best 2.1 innings against Franklin Pierce in the NCAA Division II East Region Tournament, with a season high three strikeouts. At Cecil CC: Played two seasons at Cecil CC, coming in as a freshman in 2009 and playing as a sophomore in 2011 – pitched in 18 games as a sophomore, going 3-1 with a 4.32 ERA – struck out 30 batters while recording two saves. High School: Two year letter winner in baseball at Selinsgrove High School as a pitcher – also earned two varsity letters on the basketball team as a center. Personal: Jarrett Scott Shaffer – son of Donald and Diane Shaffer – has an older sister, Megan – majoring in management information systems at Wilmington University with aspirations of working as an IT Tech – if he could be someone else for a day, he would be Cliff Lee – his favorite cartoon characters are Tom and Jerry – if he could be the head coach of a team for a year, he would coach the Washington Redskins.
