The goal is to select what we believe to be the best “team” to represent Laurier always balancing present needs while keeping an eye to the future of the program. Note: Additional on ice tryouts may be scheduled if needed and this could delay the team announcement. Important Information: 1) All varsity players in all sports at WLU require a medical. They are available through WLU for a fee. You may want to get a medical from your family doctor before arriving on campus. 2) There will be a Junior Varsity and Varsity team selected for both men and women. 3) Both women’s teams will play in the open league on Monday nights. Draw times rotate between 5, 7 and 9pm. 4) Both men’s teams will play in the Men’s league on Wednesday nights. Draw times rotate between 7 and 9 pm. 5) Ideally on ice team practices are Monday and Wednesday from 3-5pm 6) Warm side practice in Tuesday night from 9-10:30pm 7) Varsity and Junior Varsity Curlers at WLU are treated equal with all other varsity athletes and as such they are subject to all standard team fees. Varsity and Junior Varsity curlers will have the base club membership fee paid for at the Granite club. In return all curlers are expected to participate in the Adopt a Hawk program. 8) Please make every effort to avoid class conflicts with practices and games. 9) Competition Schedule (all dates tentative) a.
