Dear Dream Queen, I often wake up angry and crying after having a frequent nightmare that has plagued me for more than ten years. It is so upsetting that my anger lasts all day. In the dream, I am sitting on my living room couch with my husband watching TV when suddenly there is a loud knock at the door. “Don’t answer it!” I yell to my husband because I know who is at the door and that this is my nightmare again. But he opens the door and my dead father walks into the room, looks at me and says, “Tammy, I love you.” This upsets me so badly that I wake up screaming because my father and I had a very bad relationship while he was alive. We did not speak to each other during his last years of life. What does this nightmare mean and how can I make it stop? I am afraid to go to sleep. "

Your living room is where you currently live in your Inner-House, which is also the middle room or common ground between other rooms or realms. You are watching detached re-run life on TV. A knock on the door is permission to enter your “living room” or life. Your husband, your inner male guide, opens the door between the awake and dream world or the living and the dead. Your dead father (your past life) walks into your current life (living room) and reawakens suppressed negative emotions and tells you he loves you. I believe that is truly your deceased father who has been given permission to return to make amends in an effort to release you from your negative emotions so you can move forward in life. He has evolved “on the other side” and realizes that the grief he left you with is holding you back in life. The fact that you are aware of the nightmare makes it prophetic.
