South Africa and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is responsible for commemorating members of the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth who died during the two world wars and for the care of their graves throughout the world. South Africa is one of six Commonwealth countries which participate in the work of the Commission, the others being the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India.
