Community Education Wallace State Community Education provides a variety of classes designed to enrich your life. Time will be spent exploring the camera body (bring instruction booklet). Subjects covered are ISO, aperture, shutter speeds, manual operation, composition, lighting, and image and creative dials. Instructor, Theresa Burns Tuesdays, August 21-September 25, 6-8:00pm, Burrow ADVANCED DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY ($75) Pre-requisite course-Intro to Digital Photography or instructor permission. This course will explore the computer of the camera. Subjects covered- Exposure compensation, computer menu, histograms, lenses, metering modes, pixels and files, elements of design. Also, capturing the best image, importing images into the computer, editing the image, sharing the image, and organizing and storing images as well. Instructor, Theresa Burns Tuesdays, October 2-November 6, 6-8:00pm, Burrow INTRO TO PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 8 ($75) Pre-requisite for this course-Must already be familiar with the computer. Topics included are making files and introduction to the various tools in the Tool Box, opening and naming files, options bar, menu bar, palette bin, cropping and resizing images and simple enhancements. Instructor, Theresa Burns Tuesdays, August 23-September 27, 6-8:00pm, Burrow ADVANCED PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 8 ($75) Pre-requisite for this course is Introduction to Photoshop Elements or instructor permission. Topics will include portrait retouching and brush tools, learning to enhance, restore and color additions, filters, frames, adjustment layers, effects controls and panoramic. Instructor, Theresa Burns. Thursdays, October 4-November 8, 6-8:00pm, Burrow OUTSMART YOUR SMARTPHONE ($30) Does your child know more about your phone than you? This course is intended to help participants learn how to access and use the most popular features of new smartphones and will include information about service carriers; information syncing; how to access and use audio and video; maintenance; and basic phone applications. October 2, 9, 16, 4-5:00pm Cullman Municipal Golf Course BALLROOM DANCING ($30) This is a beginning level Ballroom Dance class for those who want to develop and/or improve their social dance skills. The instructor will provide instructions for steps, patterns and proper techniques, including ballroom dance floor etiquette.
