Trying to work your new smartphone? Can’t seem to figure it out? This new technology can be tricky even for ‘old pros’. In this class, you’ll learn how to navigate your way through your cell phone and all its capabilities. Bring your smartphone with you to class, and we’ll teach you all about it. Training for Business and Industry WORKFORCE TRAINING CDL TRAINING

Commercial Truck Driver Class A four week instructional program that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to drive trucks and buses, delivery vehicles, for-hire vehicles, and other commercial vehicles. Schedule: Monday-Thursday. Call for dates Fee: $2,004, plus expenses. SHORT-TERM WELDING

This 225-hour course provides basic instruction in oxy-fuel cutting (torch cutting) and the student’s choice of shielded metal arc welding (stick welding), MIG wire welding process or TIG process. SERVSAFE TEST-PREP & CERTIFICATION COURSE

Participants will gain valuable knowledge in the following areas: sanitation, the flow of food, purchasing and receiving, storing foods, safety, food preparation, facilities and equipment, regulatory agencies and inspection, and crisis management. The program is designed specifically for food-handling employees of restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, daycares, and other food service professionals. The intensive 8-hour courses are conducted in two consecutive sessions, ending with the certification exam (must attend both classes to test). SHORT TERM HEALTH PROGRAMS CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT

10 week program Certified nursing assistants (CNA) work at the direction of nurses to provide basic patient care and play a critical role in successful health care by extending the capability of nurses and doctors to provide better patient care. CNA classes will train individuals to assess patient needs, to interact effectively with the patient, and to make observations regarding a patient’s condition and state of mind. The 26 hour clinical rotation will be on the three Saturdays at the end of the program. Fee: $790 plus $15 insurance fee (includes textbook and exam fee). 5595 - MEDICAL ASSISTING CEU / REVIEW COURSE The course is designed to assist the participant in preparing for a medical assisting credentialing examination and/or offer continuing education units (CEU) to keep CMA (AAMA) credential current. The course provides each participant with necessary information required to meet guidelines set forth by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. According to the final rule issued August 12, 2012 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, only “credentialed medical assistants” are able to enterorders into the Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) system. This course includes a general review of administrative and clinical functions performed in the medical office. Topics will include those listed in the Certified Medical Assisting- CMA (AAMA) ®, Registered Medical Assistant -RMA, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant-CCMA, and National Certified Medical Assistant- NCMA examination content outlines.
