He stabilizes our catching situation and also gives us tremendous experience with a young pitching staff. He has caught some very important games for us over the last four years. He handles the bat very well and is skilled at getting on base. Most importantly, he has always been a team-first guy, who sets a great example for young players with his attitude and routine. 2011 Named to the All-Community Service team for the second straight season... Grounded out in lone at-bat in win over Florida 5/14... Struck out as a pinch hitter at Kentucky 5/7... Drove in his third run of the year with a single against Tennessee 5/1... Hit by a pitch as a pinch hitter against Tennessee 4/30... Grounded out in his only at bat against LSU 4/23... Started and went 1-for-2 in his hometown against Middle Tennessee State 4/12...
