Planning is beginning for the VMI Corps Physical Training Facilities project. The project will enhance VMI’s training facilities through the construction of a new indoor physical fitness training facility in addition to the renovation of Cormack Hall and Cocke Hall. “VMI has completed a pre-planning study which is undertaken to begin the development of the project cost, scope, and schedule,” said Lt. Col. Dallas Clark ’99, Institute planning officer. “Currently VMI is seeking detailed design funds which will allow the project to progress to preliminary drawings.” Pending the availability of capital projects funds, the project is estimated to be complete in the summer of 2015.
