Rising from the steps of Belmont, Trinidad to the ‘World's Stage' was always C.C's dream… CRYSTAL CHARLES, born in June 1989 always had a natural passion for the entertaining; C.C has been performing for as long as she can remember and is highly motivated and confident that she has the ability to perform and entertain alongside the world's best. C.C began her career at an early age of 10 in the school choir, church and by participating in the community, schools talent shows and competitions, with the solid encouragement of her family, teachers and friends. In 2007, C.C entered her first amateur competition, Synergy Soca Star, with a La Vern Als composition, 'Jam Meh For Carnival'. She knew that singing would be her career and committed herself to the daunting task of developing her artistry and craft for that all round appeal, to satisfy her critics and capture her market. In 2008, C.C again entered Synergy Soca Star, this time she made it to the Top 12 with high energy composition 'Wine Down Low' written and produced by Umi Macarno. C.C got her first major break in 2009 when she signed a three song deal with Non Destructive Label. Her three pieces ...’Crossing the Savannah’ (Power Song), ‘What Yuh Want Tonight’ (Chutney Soca) and ‘Dreamer’ (Party Song), ...proved her versatility over the various genres of Soca. C.C challenged herself and entered the International Soca Monarch where she made it to the semifinals. In 2010, C.C had her first hit ‘Steam’ featuring Benjai and Kernal Roberts. The song was written by Kernal Roberts and produced by Kernal Roberts and G Master, on the A.M.A rhythm. With this wave of popularity, CC was nominated for the 2010 Soca Awards in the category of Best New Artist. In 2011, C.C also released a song called ‘Dais It Dey’ written and produced by Kernal Roberts which received heavy rotation on both local and foreign air waves. C.C then took time off in 2012 and had a beautiful baby girl. After a return from maternal duties, C.C was back at it again releasing a song called ‘Soca Ah Luv Yuh’ in 2013, again making it to the Semi Finals with this groovy piece. C.C continues to grow in the Soca industry; in 2014 she joined forces with the Road March king for the Power piece ‘Party Behind Meh’ written By Austin SuperBlue Lyons and Samuel Jack, produced by Samuel Jack of Studio 21. C.C has been thankful for the success afforded to her thus far and has enjoyed every moment of it, she intends through her dedication, hard work and passion to become recognized in the local and international Soca music industry.
This month Chosen episode 1 premiers online at ww.villeventures.com. Chosen Tv show is a 4 part mini series which is currently filming. Last month, Producer Ancil Harris released a statement saying that only episode 1 will be released online this month. Chosen is created by both Ancil Harris and Ice Angel and is directed by Ancil Harris. Chosen episode 1 will be online Sunday 3oth March 2014 at www.villeventures.com. In the year 2020, the underworld creatures known as folklore had drastically taken over Trinidad and Tobago, killing people daily by the hundreds. The government initiated a state of emergency to eradicate these creatures. After weeks of bloodshed, mankind lived again; with only a few folk creatures remaining the government launched F.I.U (Folk Investigations Unit) to help get rid of remaining folklore. Now the unit’s best, two sisters, Victoria and Tania, investigates and hunts the folklore world. They are the key, they are ‘CHOSEN’. Chosen episode 1 casts are: Celina lyons, Christina Ferguson Kendell Prince , Chimere Prince and guest appearance from Ancil and Clifton Harris.
New TV show , T&T Styles focuses on exposing hairdressers, nail technical and Barbers. The show will highlight all the popular styles and techniques from this era. The show is created and hosted by Chimere from VVF Top 6 . Co Producer on the project Ancil Harris says that this show will be different from all that Ville Ventures Films has produced before. He indicate that this show will expose a lot of talented individuals within Trinbago. T&T Styles is expected to launch between this month and April on Gayelle Caribbean. Season 1 will focus on lots of new styles from hairdressers, nail tech and Barbers. “we’ve approach a lot of hairdressers so far and lot if not all of them are very excited” , says Ancil, he added, “ So this show will surely be huge cause it will be one of a kind”. So we will surely let you guys know the official release of T&T Styles on Gayelle TV.
