eople looking for a city where they can live and play won’t have to look farther than Richardson. Thirty parks, 40 miles of trails, five outdoor public swimming pools, dozens of tennis courts and various athletic facilities are all within Richardson city limits.

Golf anyone? Plenty of courses are sprinkled across the area. Richardson is home to one nationally recognized municipal course and one private country club course. Nearly a dozen more are within a 30-minute drive from anywhere in the city.

Richardson also houses two modern baseball complexes, which accommodate league, tournament and recreational play for both children and adults. An aquatics center and a gymnastics center will open in 2012, and a bond program passed by voters in 2010 has paved the way for the development of several more recreation and park facilities in the coming years.
