Owen Partners Association (OPA) OPA is a club that helps connect spouses, fiancés and fiancées, partners and families to the Owen community. Because pursuing a business school education at Vanderbilt is a significant joint decision, we feel it is important to support and include all who are involved. We hope that by joining OPA, you will have your own unique experience as a member of the Owen community. All OPAs are encouraged to participate in social events and Owen clubs, and to take advantage of all of the outstanding resources on the Vanderbilt campus. We want you to feel as welcomed and involved as possible, because we know it is both an exciting and challenging time for you and your significant other. Owen has been so great for both of us, and OPA introduced us to some amazing people and great friends immediately! I am so excited to be a part of OPA for a second year and hope each of you find it to be as fun and helpful as Ricky and I do! Hometown: Relocated from Chicago, Illinois (originally from Port Charlotte, FL) Undergraduate Institution: University of Notre Dame What I’m doing in Nashville: Senior Financial Analyst at Asurion in Nashville, TN Partner: Matthew Lawrence, husband Why I love Owen and OPA: Owen was the only program that reached out to me as part of the application process, and I really appreciated that they recognized it was a big decision for me as well. Matt and I did not know many people when we relocated to Nashville from Chicago, so OPA has been a great way to get to know people who are going through the same experience as us. OPA became our Nashville family very quickly and made the transition into business school much easier. We really enjoyed our first year in Nashville and are really looking forward to the next one!
