MBA Program Description Vanderbilt MBA Programs for Executives Health Care MBA Two-year, full-time program offering a core foundation of general management courses, career-focused specializations, and immersion learning opportunities. Program features a seven-week modular calendar, summer internship, and support from the Leadership Development Program (LDP) and Career Management Center (CMC). Executive MBA Specialization within the fulltime MBA program that is the result of a partnership between a nationally ranked business school and a top academic medial center both located in Nashville, the capital city for established and entrepreneurial health care companies and experts. This program offers unique immersion learning opportunities. Americas MBA for Executives Two-year program designed for a working professional’s schedule. The rigorous academic and classroom experiences are tailored specifically to the needs of those who are in, or aspire to, positions of senior leadership. Features a “lockstep” concentrated curriculum with a special focus on advanced financial frameworks, strategic vision and leadership skills. Offered in partnership with top schools from four countries in the Western Hemisphere, this program offers special focus on building cross-border businesses and relationships, plus offers a 10-day, in-country immersion. All four of these programs provide leadership development and career management support. A traditional, two-year MBA that offers an outstanding personalized experience. If you want to catapult your current career or switch to another entirely, the full-time MBA may be right for you. This program features a core foundation of general management courses and your choice of specialization, concentration and/or emphases that help you on your desired career path. The MBA program is known for its experiential learning as well as its Leadership Development Program (LDP) that offers highly personalized career coaching and support throughout your Owen experience. Degree Earned 21 months. From August to May, classes offered Monday through Thursday; Fridays reserved for group study, career search or other events. 24 months. Alternating Saturdays including two required one-week residencies (one at the beginning of program; one in the second year). Program Format Features an academic calendar based on a modular system of intensive courses, each seven weeks in length. Two “mods” equal one semester. There are opportunities for immersion courses, trips between mods, and a paid internship between year one and year two. Year One: Core curriculum plus specialization and at least one concentration area. Year Two: Specialization and concentration focused courses. Career Specializations: Brand Management, Corporate Finance, Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) and Investment Management. Industry Specialization: Health Care. Executive MBA A two-year Vanderbilt MBA designed for working professionals in or approaching senior leadership. The Executive MBA offers the same degree as the traditional MBA program, only designed to accommodate a working professional’s schedule. It is a highly ranked, 60-credit MBA program proven to help accomplished managers and executives develop the advanced management, strategic vision and leadership skills essential to achieving full executive potential. Executive MBA graduates realize immediate ROI, with the ability to apply the best-practice knowledge learned on Saturday to their jobs on Monday morning. The Americas MBA is a specialization within the Executive MBA that also offers the same degree as the full-time MBA.
